I'll go on record, I am happy Thomas got the contract. He is a decent coach, the only times I questioned his coaching was the two games where we lost by 1 and didnt have any timeouts left and also for start big games. His GM record is suspect, flat out horrible. But this year, because of whatever reason, he has not done that bad. Yeah, he bought out our expiring players, but history has shown us, nothing good would have come out of those players. The end result would have been taking on more high ticket contracts. Plus we have grunwald handling most of the gm duties. The hate is so strong that it causes many to overlook the accomplishments. IT from the beginning of the season has said come the march and april, he wanted to be in the fight. The team won 23 games last year with the same team, he basically had to come in and start from scratch building a team atmosphere. Why do players love him ? Because he is everything you want in a coach, he will go to war for you on the court. The young guys see that, the vets see that. The team has a good shot at finishing close shot at finishing close to .500 this year and making the playoffs. Any other coach or person that would be good enough. If Larry Brown did this last year, all we would hear, is how LB is a great coach and NY is finally turning the corner, they are growing. The fact that it's IT is what causes all of the negative views.
Addressing the Top Player in the ATL div: If we were going on individual accomplishments and skill set, I would say Carter. But if we were going on impact on the team and wins, I would have to say Bosh. I watched Bosh the last few games, and that has convinced me, he is in a different league right now. He looks like JOneal. Curry is no where on the list (and I am a big Curry guy). He is however better then Al Jefferson,
