oohah, you're not going to find that battle tested proven vet, unless he's over the hill. If you have a chance at a promising young player like Martin, you go for it.

It does happen Ira, Carter is out there and could have been had, Ray Allen moved long after he established himself, I think Iguadola will be on the market after next year (He is not exactly battle-tested, but he is legit.), I think Ginobli, maybe Jason Richardson.

I like Kevin Martin. But if we sign him I think we only have MLE to throw at him, and that is about right too. He should get a nice contract but he hasn't proven himself to sign him to an extended contract at big money.

And if he was signed to a big/long contract, he would be torn to bits unless he become a top-notch star, look at what happened to Allan Houston; even now people dis him, and he was a very high quality SG.
