Marv - what are you, his agent?

Isles don't back ish up. How hard is it to say "I hate the Knicks"?

Isles is a one-trick pony whose act has grown tired. He also lied to us and said he was through. Why is he still here throwing dirtballs?

One of the most entertaining games in at least a week.

Great choke by Starbury. Nice to see they're still heavily relying on a player that will be on the downside of his career when the young guys finally "get it" in 3-4 years.

Where was Curry? The Franchise was nonexistent again. Couldn't even carry the load against Nick Collison.

Frye is a gutless puke passing up open shots all night because he has no balls. Great lottery pick Isiah.

Playoffs? Who cares, it matters like the 2003 playoffs mattered.

Why exactly is everyone tearing isles to pieces over this?

He's dead on about Frye and Curry.

As to Marbury - he had a great game, yes, but he did choke.
And can anybody deny he'll be on the downside of his career in 3-4 years? No.

So... why the big hissyfit from everyone?

This game was huge, regardless of what IT said beforehand. We couldn't pull it off. Frye and Curry produced nothing. There were about 50 boneheaded mental errors. We didn't even start to play until the second half. For most of the game up to the end we just looked like we didn't want it.

Of course you could go the other route and start making all sorts of excuses as to why we lost and why any criticism about the loss is just ridiculous and hater behavior.

"This is still a young team they're working out the kinks!"
"They played hard its too bad they just couldn't pull it out in the end"
"There was great effort how can you fault them for that?"
"Starbury was great all game just missed a free throw could have happened to anybody"
Blah, blah, blah

That also gets insanely tiresome.

They were playing a team they should have beat, during a game that was very important.
They couldn't pull it off. This is not the time for "almost! you guys are almost there!" and "well hey, last year we would have lost by 10 points! what an improvement!" this is win or we're doing the same thing we've been doing the past several postseasons: nothing.

People can't handle the truth. I do think Isles intentionally pushed some buttons, that I personally would've left alone, but at the same time, I can't say he was wrong either.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

The only difference being that I speak the truth. Notice that people couldn't contest what I said so they resorted to taking shots at me. That's fine. It's just more validation of my opinions regarding the garbage that is the Knicks franchise. It's rotten from the head down.

misterearl on the other hand just spews as much nonsensical crap as he can, hoping that some of it will stick. e.g. comparing Lee not starting on a bad Knicks team ahead of Jerome James to John Havlicek coming off the bench for the dynastic Celtics teams.

Actually I don't think you're interested in the truth at all. You seem to be on a mission to kick this team when it's down and up for that matter. If you'd just admit that you don't want to see this team succeed then we'd all know the truth about your real position regarding this team. Heck even I make critical statements at least once in a while when I see it, but you NEVER find any positives with this team or it's effort. That is disturbing for someone to be active on a Knick Forum and to never have anything good to say about their favorite team.

Why do you even watch the games or follow the team? Why do you even post here at all? Why not just wait until Steph retires, Isiah will eventually be fired as most coaches are and the rest of this team is no longer here.

I'll make it easy on you. Show me one thing that I've posted on this thread that isn't true about this team and franchise. Start with my initial post.

Why the hell does ANYONE have to follow your stupid ass rules of being a damn fan? This team is going NOWHERE as constructed and some people are pissed about it because THEY are fans and want to see the team TRULY succeed, not fight for meaningless games april and for an 8th seed in a horrible conference.

You mean the game where the Rangers had 56 shots on goal and still barely won? The Isles did get a point out of it.

You catch the first 4 games between the teams this year?

I hope you catch tomorrow's game.

Curry did have the huge block and huge turnaround jump hook on back to back possessions. So he did come up with some huge plays down the stretch which put us in a very good position.

Ray Allen was hitting bad shots toward the end to. I would say the main problem with last nights game has been the problem throughout the season. Which is giving away the 1st quarter and tring to make comeback wins every game. We practically give away the first quarter every game.

The loss was a result of the team missing lots of free throws, and lackluster defense.

Had nothing to do with Steph's second free throw which nearly went in.

If there was an ignore feature I would use it on threads like this.

Actually the hockey equivalent would be if the goalie left the net and the shooter had a wide open net to shoot at and missed.

Teams lose in shootouts all the time. Not many $20M a year players choke the way Marbury did.

mmmmK Isles. We get your point.

Marbs may be the ARod of Guards... piling up stats until it matters.
If this were the Yankees of basketball teams that might matter.

This is an average team with key players missing, so Steph is by far our best option.

Quityerbitchin

Agree with you overall JW except for Marbury being the A-Rod of guards. Marbury's clutch, trust me. I mean you guys don't remember the last game against the Heat at the Garden? My wife got me tix for that one and we had ball up in the nosebleeds. I know Curry outplayed Shaq and Craw hit the game winner basiclly, but that game was all Marbury in the end. Marbury was the reason we beat the Heat that night. He was superb in the 4th quarter as he was last night. He's the reason we've gotten a lot of big wins. I for one like the guy. I was happy when we got him. We can win with Marbury trust me, he was never the problem.

before this year he was a big part of the problem Finest... i agree, he's been playing great the past couple months, but let's not say he didn't have a HUGE role in the debacle of a season we had last year, because he was 1 of the main reasons why we all had to suffer through the worst season in franchise history.
