Did anyone notice Lee's expression last night?

He didn't seem overly impressed with all the attention ot recognition.

I like the fact he didn't bite on the "howcum you ain't startin'? " question and gave a professional response.

Lee is going to bolt the first chance he gets after seeing what it's like to play with unselfish and hard working players. Plus he might actually get to start on another team.

Lee is going to play in an all star game one of these days...as a member of the Orlando Magic or Miami Heat.

hmm, I think this would be more likely if Isiah was fired, honestly.
meaning what? He's overly loyal to the coach that has him coming off the bench behind Jerome James?

fish.mike - do you really get the feeling that any of the Knicks, after what they went through last season with "you know who", are ready to turn on their head coach at the first opportunity?

Let's look again

My sense is a certain amount of bonding took place when they had to suffer the early season Garden boos as a team. They have fought back and gained a modest amount of respect at home and around the league. The positive comments of Phil J and Pat Riley are worth something, yes?

I don't think that new bond, the bond that is displayed with bench enthusiasm and willingness of them ALL to play whatever role helps the TEAM should be under-estimated.

Has there been a peep about playing time from any of the Knicks players?

anything?

but hey, that's just me

I didnt say turn on the coach, I said be overly loyal, which I can tell you he wont be. Isiah only rides one jock at a time. Right now its Eddy's turn

just that there would be much more reshuffling and jostling and confusion. unless Dolan hires someone really good, which, LOL WHAT AM I SAYING?

fish.mike - "riding one jock at a time" seems to be working where it counts

"Our locker room is great," Lee says. "We don't have any bad guys or gangsters. I've never felt out of place. We all are comfortable and we all get along."

you can't play team defense without team unity

A nice read from the NY Post Blog -

"I had a nice quote from Tim Duncan today saying he was a big fan of Lee's. Coming from Duncan, that is huge. Duncan is the epitome of professionalism and he sees that in David."

I saw the game with my 2 older children and I basically told them to watch DLee and told them that this is the way to play basketball. He was all over the place.

You guys know why they were uncontested shots? Because he was moving and and setting picks and going to the right spot. He understood that Chris Paul and Deron Williams will get him the ball.

Also, his rebounding...he made it look easy because he has that uncanny ability to judge where the ball will bounce too.

So how do you expalin the 12 uncontested alley oop dunks by Monte Ellis...

Word - anyone who continuously critiques/bashes david lees game looses respect imo as far as basketball knowlege goes. This guys positives far outweigh his negatives and he needs to play. Tim Duncan said at ALlstar Weekend hes a huge DLEE fan. So there you go

Chris Paul had 17 assist and 9 steals in 25 mins of play...It's not a game to be drawing any conclusions from...

Holfresh I can totally agree the game means nothing. But getting picked for the games does and Lee got picked. Funny how you kick him in the ass, and I watched a couple coaches, and GM seek him out and tell him what a great year he is having, and to keep working hard. These were teams with winning records and great reputations. It was also nice to see the respect he gets from the superstars in the league. Lee defense is going to get better and he is going to be a 15/12 in this league which deserves a little respect.

David improved from a 57% Free throw shooter to an 80% FT Shooter in ONE YEAR

If you can have any doubts about him as a worker after seeing that you are foolish. I believe Dave will continue to improve all parts of his game untill he is an allstar.

That stuff is good...I'm more concerned about the Knicks needs than DLee getting respect...Curry is a poor defender in the post along with Frye and DLee...Curry is an ofensive monster in the post so he isn't going anywhere...The Knicks will get better when the PF and Center step up their defense...
It's nice to see Lee get recognition for his hard work...I just like to see it in areas that helps this team win...

I agree and if Isiah would play him at the four and let him learn then he would be better. You need people to compete to win in the NBA. He will compete and Frye doesnt every game. The bottom line is you preach that defense and rebounding wins games. Lee does one of them Frye does none of them but you think Frye is a better fit. The knicks need to trade Lee then because people want him

Yeah seriously King. There are a few detractors on this board and I honestly think that they would rather trade the Knicks most popular(and productive) player because he is liked by all Knick fans, even the fans that dislike Isiah. They hate the fact that the guys who dislike Isiah have someone to root hard for and that he's the most productive player on this team.

Stupid yes? Thats the way it is though.

Unfortunately it's the other way around...The guys here who support Lee want him to leave because they think Lee isn't getting the RESPECT he deserves...I for one don't want Lee to go but if he does , guess what, this organization will go on...DLee is a very good role player for us, his game has holes he needs to work on to help this team..You guys just can't face that for some reason..If we mention his and Curry defense is terrible, you guys get upset...I haven't seen anyone here who says they want Lee gone, but I have seen people here say if they were Lee they would leave when their contract expires...Like somehow the organization would crumble without Lee...
