eny... its a terrible reference. This country's treatment of blacks and our history there is sickening. My daughter is 6 (first grade) and I asked her if she knew why she was off on MLK day. She knew about the "I have a dream" speech, etc but didnt really know. So we talked about MLK and Rosa parks and what it must have felt like to be treated that way, how hurtfull it must have been and how much courage it took from people to break free from it.

Your right.. its not a fair reference because gays are allowed to use the same beaches, bathrooms, drinking fountains, etc.

But bigotry is always wrong, and I think thats the message. I have serious issues with the way certain gays conduct themselves. I dont like it, and I wouldnt want my kids exposed to that kind of behavior. But thats not because they are gay, and there is the difference.

Now I'm not saying Amechie is the Rosa Parks of the gay community. PLEASE dont think that for a minute. He's obviously got his own agendas.

BlueSeats made good points. We arent the first liberal society. What are we so afraid of? What is it about homosexuality that scares people so much? Obviously smackin lips with another dude isnt something I want to dwell on, but is it a threat to my family? To my way of life? To my values? Do I need to pass on my feelings to my children?

No need to explain for me cuz I kinda understand where you are coming from being associated with this board so long. Its just if someone from the outside that pops on here that don't really have an understanding of what Fishmike is about for the most part, it just comes off really wild.

Anyway, I don't have a problem with gay people.

My whole thing with gay people is why do some of them have to act so freakin gay? Lmao! Its like damn you're gay. So what? Why do you have to broadcast it? Why do you have to act out? Just be regular. I have been around guys that were gay and I didn't know it. I mean they acted feminine sometimes where I would wonder but they weren't just obnoxious and flamboyant about it. Its like "dude did you see the ass of that chick?" "im not into chicks dude I'm gay""oh ok, but she was bad anyway though right?" "yeah she was cute"

I've had that conversation a few times. People are gonna be who they are. Just if you gonna be it, call it. Tim hardaway just out his stamp of ignorance on it. If anything good for him, just like amaechi said. Call it like you see it. At least I know where you stand.

Good post. I second that. I don't get the need to announce something like that... just be yourself. And Tim Hardaway is just an idiot, plain and simple.

No Blue, but you see my point...it's a reason why homosexuals stayed in the closet for so long. They know it's a perversion of their own, but they like it. And it their mindset....the more the merrier.

Being a born again christian. I can't support people being gay. You shouldn't hate anyone though. Truthfully I wouldn't WANT to be around anyone whos gay. But if I was, (and I am at work since I have a few gay co workers) I wouldn't and don't treat them any differently. Though it would/is allways be in the back of my mind that there gay.

Being gay goes against Gods will. Being black doesn't go against Gods will. But it isn't my job to judge people only God has that right. I hope people being gay doesn't become the *norm*. But I also don't want people being treated unfairly because there gay.

I was gonna ask the exact same question.

Being born again means you did not get it right the first time and lack discipline so you take the fundamental approach and follow the bible to the letter and try to push it on others so they agree.

If God wanted men to sleep with other men, then why did he create women? Why did he take out one of Adams ribs to create women. Why didn't get create another man? Why didn't he just allow men to reproduce?

"Then the lord made a women from the rib. He had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called woman, for she was taken out of man".
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame. That is directly from the bible.

Being gay is flatout wrong, Im no religous buff, but in the bible it says it's flat out wrong. If it was right, there would never be the phrase coming out of the closet, There would not be this much rhetoric. How could gay be right ? is it just becuase there huming beings we should except them, please...whats wrong is wrong, America ( an im a 100% american) thrives on hypocracy, breeds the ****.
