Would the Knicks have a better record if Herb Williams was coaching?

You're right TT - with Isiah you better lock your doors and watch your daughters too

I am not worried about locking my doors.

What I am worried about is Zeke making another horrible trade or terrible signing.

You know what, maybe Zeke should be locked up before he burns another $30 million on someone with the intials J.J.

In fact, I wonder if Jenna Jameson became a free-agent this summer - would Isiah offer her a five year deal at the full mid-level exception???!!!

I like Herb, but I was never too impressed with his head coaching. the defense when he was head coach was horrendous. not his fault, totally, since Tim Thomas and Mo Taylor were playing, but it was ugly.

Isiah is a good coach.

noooooo
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

And can we bring light to the fact that Isiah almost lost the knicks the game with his Snacks in the starting lineup.....

I have never and i mean never seen anything like this, its right on par with starting your hometown guy in the city he grew up in.....

Marbury on Odom? The rotations were really out of wack and its not fair to the team to have to deal with this lineup.....I don't like JJ but if you want to start the guy, fine no worries you just can't start James out there with Curry

MS - the Knicks are 3-1 with Jerome as the starter

Isiah almost lost the game? Sheesh. Can you please stop whining over ever endless booger you can pick. You think the coach had anything to do with repairing the team's confidence after losing a tough game in Utah?

Enjoy The Ride

MS – I agree. The funny part is that he always leaves James on the bench to start the second half.

What is the point? It is almost like he wants to keep the starting lineup the same just to avoid the multiple starting lineup nonsense that plagued LB

However – one smart move by Zeke last night (as Berman pointed out in his blog) was inserting Jefferies for Curry on that final possession.

I guess he learned from the Utah game...

It ain't that deep

why some place so much stock in second-hand drivel is beyond me

MisterEarl, back to an earlier point - came across this in recent LA Times Article
--

Contrary to public opinion, Brown wasn't fired for going 23-59, since his bosses were prepared to be patient.

He was fired — with four years and $40 million on his contract — because, being Larry Brown, he couldn't stop talking about their problems.

Candor, not failure, had become the ultimate Knicks sin since 2001 when Cablevision Chief Executive Charles Dolan handed Madison Square Garden to his son, James

Isola has also sopken about this often...

Hey i liked the win, but i don't see why you need to put him in the lineup when he is slow and out of shape, and i don't care what the record is in those games it just doesn't make sense.....

Balkman in that role makes more sense than james, cato in that role makes more sense, as does malik rose, there is no reason to see jerome, its just another isiah justification like starting frye over lee, playing jefferies over balkman, trying to start franchise with marbury when it clearly was not a good combo......

Just look at the James thing in an X's and O's sense
- Pre James the Knicks were getting into huge holes in the first quarter
- James is a talented player if he can get on a roll
- James pulls low post defenders off of Curry
- James is a threat to block shots, and makes teams start off shooting from the perimiter
- Once the game gets going I don't think the need for James strength is as great

Marbury on Odom
- How many points did Odom score during the time Marbury was on him? Nuff said.

Nuff Said.....what a joke

The Lakers got a half of dozen wide open looks to start the games because of the terrible matchup, the Lakers just didn't hit anything....

When James is starting now we are getting down 5 - 10 points in the first 4 minutes. Enter his backups (Lee, sometimes Frye) and it gradually gets better.

Hasn't going into a hole in the beginning of games been a problem all season, well before James started?

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!
