*Sigh*......What Do We Do With Jamal Crawford?

Listen I could just prove that we don't have a franchise player.......but I won't. Caz it's well known. Marbury isn't (never was). Crawford isn't. Curry isn't (and won't be) And of course, the only thing that'll get you into the post season without a franchise player is awesome defense..........and well, that's just not happening. I mean hey I wouldn't mind great defense/no franchise, but its not in the cards. So what do we do? Well we have an owner who runs the show like a corporation, so firing Isiah and trading Curry is out of the question. Now that we've established Isiah and Curry are P-R-E-T-T-Y much staying, the next step is to pick a style of ball: Fast.... or Slow. Ya, I'm gonna go with slow, unfortunately despite the fact most of our team would be good in uptempo. In that case keepers? QRich Marbury Curry Lee (most likely) James Frye Goners? Crawford Nate Why Crawford, huh. Big 52 right. No, wrong. If Curry is your 1 or 2 option, then your going slowball (essentially), therefore less possessions, meaning you need efficient shooting, not streaky jack-em-up stuff. Crawford would be great in Pheonix or Denver where he could just rain free, but that won't work here unfortunately, so he needs out. Atleast IMO. Question is --- what should we be looking for in return? AllStar player NOW? Or through Free Agen. later? Your call..... 'Less of course you'd rather just keep J-Clutch.
Use Him as Bait for a Legitimate All-Star
Trade 'em for Cap Space
Keep 'em (he's the best we're gonna get)

D12
JO
Yao
Amare
Camby
Shaq
Okafor

All Centers better and more valuable than Curry right now.

Anji......he ain't even a top 7 Center right now, and I'm being realistic.

Check out the "Curry line" someday..... he leads it by FAR.

I wouldn't trade Eddy for Shaq at this point, or Camby. I view Okafor as a PF.

I'd trade Curry for anyone on that list...

I'm not sure that I would even trade Curry for Okafor.

In an irregular heartbeat.

While you're playing a doctor on internet message boards, you might want to juxtapose Curry's cardiac exams along side an MRI Okafor's back.

Yeah I could but it wouldn't be quite as funny.

It's not even close. Okafor gives plenty of offense from the C position and is great on defense. Curry is a one dimensional player.

No GM in the league would trade Curry for Shaq right now. I'm pretty sure none of them would trade for Camby either.

I mean seriously, who would trade a 23 year offensively dominant center for old, often injured centers in the twilight of their careers?

15 pts per game isn't plenty.

I think he makes for that 4.8ppg(Curry averages 19.8) with the 11.3rbg and 2.75bpg

Curry's aggregate season stats can be deceptive:

Nov.: 15.0
Dec: 21.6
Jan: 22.1
Feb: 25.0

He's likely a 22 pt per game scorer or better.

Ok, that's great, we know he can score. What about the categories? He's still only averaging 7rpg and .54 blocks.

I bet if the Okefor was playing in an offense that pounded the ball to him, like the Knicks do Curry, he'd be averaging more than 15 points.

I like Curry, but come on, Okefor is the better player.

And Jamal Crawford as a starter is much more helpful to us than any guard on our team...we are 14-15 with him as a starter.

21.7 ppg
41.7% FG
3.7 rpg
5.0 apg
1.2 spg

Plus the last TEN games

24.2 ppg
48.8% FG
36% 3-fg
85% FT
4.7 apg
3.7 rpg
1.1 spg

As I have said, Curry has made so much progress offensively working with Aguirre/Isiah/etc. that I think the can also improve other aspects of his game over the next year.

I'm still skeptical Rich, but I damn well hope so.

Ironically, Okafor might be a better fit here because if he played PF, Frye could play C.

It's not? What percentage of championship teams have needed more than that from their centers?

Can you answer a question???? YOu posted early that Curry has to be top 5 center and score 25 points with average center stats per game before he is an allstar.
From 2001 until now I'm going to name former allstars, tell me are they Top 5, 7, 10, what ever new bench mark you want to make up.
2 time Allstar Zydrunas Ilgauskas
2 time Allstar Ben Wallace
2 time allstar Brad Miller
Vladie Divac
Antonio Davis

()Yes they were top 5 centers
or
()It's Asnine to say you have to score 25 points and be a top five center because I like to exaggerate when making my "this is my GM to do list"

Ok, lemme add this adendum:

LEARN HOW TO FUCKIN READ TOO.

I said that Curry has to be top 5 in his position to make the All-Star team.

25 ppg would make him a legit franchise player.

Understand the difference?

Still not answering the question??? Fine, I'm still looking forward to the next "Curry and Crawford = Orlando Shaq and Orlando Penny"..... Bwahahahah.

Haha.

You know youre sadistic right?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

One thing is for damn sure, Eddy's ceiling is in the clouds. Imagine he starts hitting those fade away shots consistently? His hook is already becoming automatic. He's only 23.

For someone who so adamently backs Eddy Curry, you'd think you'd know he turned 24 in December...
