As a Pacers fans I'd be disgusted with their behavior and I would be happy that it seems that Bird is starting to address it with the trade for Murphy, Dunleavy and Diogu. I'd be satisfied with having a franchise player in O'Neal to build around with good young players in Tinsley and Granger. But if things weren't getting better by the end of next year I'd be looking to trade O'Neal and start over.

Hmm. I have a feeling you'd want to ditch Tinsley (as would we all) - never healthy, involved in both night club altercations, etc.

You might be right.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

very good article.

if you look at win-loss record, we're getting slightly better (.500 since late Nov). but look at this team's mental health/chemistry. last year they were at zero, this year they're much improved. Curry wants to stay a Knick as long as Thomas is here, Marbury has bought into the system that he's not the man, and everything else has fallen into place. the team smiles and likes one another now. they have chemistry.
the real mistakes Zeke has made here have been the coach hiring decisions.

Exactly, there is no fighting amoung teammates. Everyone has each others back. When Crawford was dropping 52pts everyone was pulling for him, getting him the ball, cheering him on. When Curry didn't make the allstar Marbury was standing up for his teammate (Though I don't beleive Curry should be in it over Okafor anyway). Isiah has cleanned all that up as the coach. Isiah even kept Artest in line when he was in Indy. So other than drafting if there is one thing that Isiah is good at is relating to players. There is a healthy atmosphere amoung the players as of right now.

The Celtics could be much improved next season. Jefferson is comming into his own and his a 15pt 10rebs 2blk guy for the last few months. He will be even better next season. Delonte West & Gerald Green will keep improving to. And Perkins has been puting up #s. If they could unload Wally for ending salary and come out of the draft with Oden, Durant, Noah they would be in great shape.

Its simple though, while the NY media does have a lot to do with Isiah getting more attention than the others. I would say the fact that Isiah was disliked a ton while he was a player because of his bad boy ruthless image & persona. While Bird and them were loved. Has a lot to do with it as well. Isiah being disliked as a player definatly has translated some into him being disliked as a front office person.

you changed your post after i responded

I realized the way I phrased it may have been ambiguous, so I rephrased it so nobody else tripped up on my phrasing.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
