curry doesn't "jump" like skiles said. and even when he does, he doesn't have "hops". he looks real pretty and nimble making an offensive move, but pay attention to how high he actually gets off the floor. it's not that high. at peak, he only really gets his hands over the rim. that's why he's always laying stuff up instead of dunking it. he doesn't have the motor to just jump up high on a dime. that's why he'll never be a good shot blocker. that says nothing about his defense, just about his shot blocking ability.

i think alot of that has to do w/his conditioning & the extra weight he's carrying combined w/his paranoia over collecting fouls... if you've noticed, he's been collecting more goaltending calls against him lately, which means he's at least trying to block shots.

he gets goaltending calls because he only goes after balls that are in the air never after the man driving to the basket to block the shot while it is still in his hand on a layup or dunk. I think hes scared of getting foul calls or being dunked on
