“You run a drag screen (See Diagram 10). The one man has the ball on the right side just before the wing. The five man is on the right low post, and the four man is at the top. The four man comes and sets a drag screen on the side for the one man. After four sets a screen, if he is a good shooter, he can pop out for a shot, or if he is a low post player, he rolls to the left low post.”
![]() Diagram 10. Drag Screen Assume the four man indeed rolls to the post. “The five guy comes to the top, so you have a high-low post situation. If they cheat to cover the post, you hit one of the corners. Wherever the read is, that’s where you pass.” Spacing is important in that play. “You want your players 15-17 feet apart,” Coleman said. That way you can’t be double-teamed. Patience is also crucial. “You tell your players to take their time, make the right read and go through their options. Don’t be in too much of a hurry.” http://www.abqmag.com/magazine/2006/3rd_Quarter/basket.php https://
