Jerry west is like a viking when he makes trades. If the bulls get Gasol for Deng and Gordon, Ill lose all respect for him and consider that an act of Collusion. If the bulls get Paul it should be somthing like:
PJ Brown, Deng, Gordon, NY pick or Tyrus thomas for Gasol and Warrick(to keep paxson happy)

this gives them hinrich, ben, deng, gasol, and ben.

it leaves them somewhat thin on the bench so maybe they take warrick, cardinal or someone like that in return as well.

but gasol is only 26 so that's still a good young team. but again, without a franchise stud, the best you can do is build a team on defense and hope to recreate the 2004 pistons. in fact, lb should coach that team too.

West Confirms Conversation With Chicago

Commercial Appeal -

Memphis president Jerry West acknowledged a reported conversation with the Chicago Bulls in regards to Pau Gasol.

"The conversation was brief," West said. "But we're not giving him away. This franchise won't give him away. Period."

"If we trade Pau we're looking to substantially improve the team for the future or we would be looking to get more picks in this draft," owner Michael Heisley said. "If we can improve the team, we would trade Pau. But there's a difference when you've made up your mind like with Jason Williams and Bonzi Wells. Pau Gasol is not available in that sense. I don't make trades. But if Jerry came to me with a trade that would improve this team, Pau will be traded. Jerry is always exploring possibilities."

The Nets have already inquired about Memphis' Pau Gasol this season, making what one source called a "pretty good offer."

Now that Gasol is on the block, the Nets are expected to go after him again. [READ]

That would be a horrible deal for the Nets.

It is probably Jefferson, Boone, and 2007 1st round pick or Kristic, Wright, and 2007 1st round pick. Memphis has only one big contract and jones is coming off the books at the end of the season, so I don't think that expiring contracts is a priority for them. They want talent and draft picks. If I were Memphis, I would rather have Frye, Crawford, Nate, and a 1st round pick from the Knicks. Jefferson is only going to slow the development of Gay. Frye is a better scorer than Kristic IMO, and Crawford in the right system and with a little more discipline is a better player than Wright.

Ha. Yeah, I think the league requires you to have a least one white guy. We have our one. That's enough. ;)

Jokes aside, it wouldn't surprise me if Thorn gets him. Next season when they get Krstic back that's going to be a nifty front court they'd have.

Lets do that and start building a contender.......Tough to lose Crawfords 38% shooting, and nate maturity but we would be actually building towards a championship......I would take Lowry over crawford already call me crazy put if you compare their stats on a minute basis your going to be suprised how much more the kid brings especially on defense....and your getting rid of some contracts and Memphis looks like they are moving Gasol, and it would be good for them to add Frye as their future center........

I doubt west would do the deal though

I am now hearing that the Nets are in the Hunt for Gasol. I think Carter could be included in that deal.
