I'm liking this deal a lot if i'm Indiana. Good move.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

not for nothing, but their first game with all those players will be against us on saturday night. not good b/c they'll be superpumped and teams that usually make trades win those first home games.
kinda like Marbury was for his homecoming at the Garden vs. the Rockets right?

I have a feeling Indiana did this trade for chemistry issues - SJax is crazy and Al Harrington is selfish. They're great talents, but to my mind, even more disruptive personalities than a guy like Marbury.

I think Indiana lost on the talent end of things in this deal but will make improvements chemistry-wise. GSW is a collection of crazy scoring headcase wings at this rate: BDAvis, JRich, SJax, Al Harrington, Pietrus. Is Don Nelson trying to collect all the wings in the league?

Agreed, I think it had a lot to do with cleaning up their image.

I compare Troy to the Knicks getting Oakley to put next to Ewing. Troy's game doesn't require the ball the way Al's does. The trade also opens up the SF spot for Granger while making Dunleavy the 6th man which I think he'll excel at without the expectations. Diogu can also be a very useful piece.

For the Warriors, they got back some very talented players but ones with issues. It seems like they have too many guys who need the ball but it'll be up to Davis to make everyone happy. If they can mesh, they have a ton of firepower.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Troy & Tinsley for J Kidd? i don't see NJ doing it... & both teams are in the same conference.

i don't think there's any way they trade Jermaine unless they're getting back a bigman to take his place like in a Bynum/Odom package from the Lakers for example.

Jackson is a bone head.

Its a good trade for both.

Dunleavy is a 15-6 player? That is not so bad. He makes a good off guard. Not the quickest feet, but he is LOOOONG to guard.

He is soft, but Jackson is mentally soft.

Im sure they hate to lose Harrington but he almost signed With warriors so he can't be too pissed. Murphy is a tough kid and can shoot.

IF BIrd was trying to lighten the team he would not have traded Saurnas. He is netting two white kids for one Lithuanian.

ITs a good trade for both teams.

How does this help the Pacers?
Is Murphy much better than Foster?
Is Dunleavy better than Harrington?
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

I really don't see how this makes the Pacers better...

i'm leaning with you here. the pacers took on more salary too- murphy and dunleavy have longer bigger contracts than harrington and jackson. seems to me like the pacers have too busy a frontcourt to get the most of diogu, and are a bit shallow in the backcourt. must have follow-up moves coming, but troy and mike jr will be tough to move again.

If its chemistry issues then I understand. Ive played games at a high level and team chemistry is so important to me. I can never explain this fully to guys that just watch games or follow stats. I have had great players on my teams that were jerks on my team and we often did better once they were gone. Chemistry is the #1 thing I see in teams not talent

i agree, but seems like they're overpaying a bit for chemistry if that makes sense...

This looks like a youth move. If they could trade out Jermaine and get some young studs back...I mean they just got rid of their only true SG and took on another SF-Dunleavy (Granger plays there) and a PF-Murphy (Jermaine is best there), plus Diogu who is a SF/PF combo. They have a gaping hole at the guard now and way too many SF's (Dunleavy, Granger, Diogu, Marquis Daniels, the kid they JUST drafted, Shawne Williams). There is another trade coming, possibly of O'Neal, IMO.

I dont like the trade from the Pacers view and I dont know if their chemistry was even bad. Did JO have a problem with Harrington? I think the Pacers could have done better for harrington. I see a ton of reduncy on that team now. Maybe they will give us Granger now. :)

indy took back alot of salary (down the road) so i think they're going to move one of their bigger deals.

maybe jermaine to the bulls for pj + t2 + duhon + our pick?

yeah, the ability to spotlight Granger and JOneal in their offense and the added defense and shooting... I mean this could propel Indiana to the top of the East.
