so do you accept how poorly we played in the first three games?
I never really understand what people mean by accept wins/losses, or effort. I guess I have to accept it, like when a candidate I don't like is elected.
What I am trying to do is take a larger, and more realistic view to a marathon-like season, rather than get excited and upset about every poor stretch etc.
Just look at the numbers: 2 wins, 3 losses equals .400 which is poor and "unacceptable". 3/2 = .600 which is pretty good and I would imagine acceptable. And it is only difference of one game!
If the Knicks can work their way up to 3/2 at home finish the season winning an average of .600 at home and finish going .400 on the road, they would end up with about 41-42 wins, and that would be "acceptable" to me. I'm not going to get worked up about a couple of games where the Knicks are flat or out of sorts. That happens to every team good and bad. And I won't get too excited when they come out looking like world-beaters, unless they start doing it consistently!
