I think it's next to impossible for a college coach to come to NYC and deal with the MSG HOUSE OF FOOLS and bring the knicks back to repectability.


It would have to be a assitant of a great coach like bippity and myself mention earlier.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

this group is uncoachable until a few guys are dumped (mainly francis and marbury).

once you get rid of those guys, then maybe you can get something going (from a coach's perspective).

If Isiah is fired, hire a professional GM with a proven record of success.

first move is GM- agree about targeting someone in front office of Dallas, Phoenix, San Antonio or Utah - they've been able to build.

interim coach would be herb- whoever we bring in has to pick their own guy.

Paul Westphal might be a guy to look at, especially for this roster.

And wouldn't mind PJ Carlisimo- that might be a nice peace gesture to the LB camp.
