You people miss the point, you went out and made the man the highest paid coach in sports (i think or one the highest)

Then when the guy comes to you and asks you to make this trade, you tell him no ? This was more a business move to try and make it work with Brown, once they realized that Brown wasn't getting anything done, things went bad.

Also why fire IT, at that point ?

If the point was to supposedly supplant Marbury then why didn't they just get rid of Marbury earlier when Larry was already fighting with him in the media? You don't think Larry went to them with his desire to get rid of Marbury?

What we seem to be told here is that Isiah told Brown "no" to trading away the likes of Marbury, Nate, Frye, Lee (or whoever you like and assume Brown would have dumped), and he told him "no" about getting Watkins, Evans, Hunter, etc.

But Isiah said "yes" to Francis cause he couldn't say "no" to Brown?

I am not sure if there is any truth to this but a guy on realgm posted that Ariza was Marbury's best friend and that LB wanted him gone for that reason. I never heard this before so if someone knows if it is accurate please reply saying so. The post is on the Knicks forum page tonight.

If you have that much pull that you can go over the GM's head then why bother getting rid of the best friend when you can just get rid of Marbury?

Hell, if he had this juice card where he could go over Isiah's head whenever he wanted then why did he wait so long to use it? Especially when he was talking about how this team was missing players who did the things that he wanted. Like playing defense.

The better option would be to stay in the conversation and try to answer the questions that challenge your logic.

Is there really a conversation? People who are behind IT will stick by him,and vice versa. I say let's just move on. I changed my signature, there is only so long one can hold a grudge about a sports team.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Notice Dolan and Isiah only accused Larry of attempting to talk trades with other GM's. They never accused Larry of actually MAKING trades with other GM's. You know why? Because they know he never did. That includes the Francis trade.

Delusional !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who is the GM? Isiah

Who is the ONLY person that can actually make trades? Isiah

Anyone can suggest a trade. Dolan approves trades. But only Isiah decides who stays and who goes.

Very simple concept, you'd think people would be able to grasp it.

What's Isiah?

What's Dolan?

Larry isn't the only person whose character is questionable.

I still like the trade. Ariza is Ariza. Noone thought he was just gonna drop out of the league. We all remember the big games he had. The huge jam over Big Ben. 18 and 10 once in a while. Nothing has change. He still can't shoot, can't dribble, can't fuction in the open court. He can do highlight reel though.

We at least had some time to appreciate that where he is now is his plateau. Give the Magic fans a season and they will see it too.

Boris Diaw? Hah!! Diaw was getting triple double with regularity. No comparison whatsoever. Just mindless ESPN garbage.

The same dudes who lay the Francis trade at Isiah's feet and no one else's are the same ones who have told me numerous times that you have to let an HOF coach like Brown "Shop for his own groceries".

Francis is one of Brown's shopping items, I hope that isn't being debated.

Is that a double-standard?

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!
