That's all that needs to be said. He finds what ever negative he can say about the situation and goes with in over and over again.
The Breen was called out by Marv as a back handed slap on his way to the nets and Breen spends every second of every knicks broadcast trying to proven Marv wrong. THe Man STINKS!!!!

Mike Breen represents what David "THE DON" Stern wants televisedon NBA games.

He's like the commish at court side during games.

I don't have a problem with Breen. He's a little annoying, but I'm not going to hate on someone just because he isn't biased in the favor of the Knicks. Well, if we were a good team and he was being negative, I'd have a problem with it. But, we're not a good team. Maybe it's just a sign that the media, like the Knicks management, players, and most of the fanbase have gotten tired of the losing and excuses. One win doesn't erase six years of losing, even if it was an exciting, dramatic win.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

The problem with Breen is he isnt a Knick fan. In fact, I suspect he actually hates the team. If that bothers you, then its understandable. Me personally tho, I hope he gets hit by a bus.

Breen focuses too much on the refs. He's a terrible broadcaster.

What you cosider his honesty doesn't bother me. What bothers me is his sanctimoniousness and lack of focus on the action of the game. He editorializes constantly when his job is play by play.

he is not that bad at all, we already lost marv albert which was another huge mistake by that ****head dolan, its a nice change of pace between clyde and gus. I don't need to listen to kenny smith on anything but inside the nba either.....

That guy doesn;t know **** and makes wild generalizations and just sounds foolish

Breen sucks, and IMO he's encouraged to be that way in order to to provide balance. It's like he's the "bad cop" to whoever else he's teamed up with.

More Gus Johnson! He really is a fan's announcer.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

No, and don't try "in other words-ing me." I don't give a crap that he is "negative" when it is called for, I give a crap that he doesn't focus on the game enough. Marv Albert could handle any situation that came up with candidness and aplomb. He did not beat things into the ground or act like a holier than thou nun when broadcasting. Breen does both of those things. People are misunderstanding the issue if they think it's just that Breen says negative stuff. It is the volume of it that takes away from the game that makes him so brutal to listen to. Ever get caught on a long trip next to a winer? That's like listening to Breen.

Im telling you I thought Breen looked down after the game. He was actually dissapointed the Knicks won. Besides, whether or not the Knicks are terrible we dont need it thrown in our faces at every point. Im sure we all already get it from every casual "fan" on the street, guys who cant name 5 players on the team but will argue with you about how Marbury and Curry are bums etcetc. At least the announcer could be nuetral, instead of that communist pig Breen.

PhilinLA, i completely agree w/what you're saying about Breen... i've noticed the same sanctimonious pontificating by Breen on just about every Knick broadcast. (ooh, big words!)

I really lost a lot of respect for some guys on these boards after reading this thread. Breen is the best in the business and for people to be annoyed that he isn't telling you a 9-17 team is going to the Finals after 1 win is ridiculous.

We're extremely lucky to have him replace Marv.
