Overall, pretty fair.
There was speculation Thomas would be penalized for his comments to Anthony. Stern acknowledged hearing about it, but said he relied only on "definitive information" when handing out punishments.

Only thing that's surprising is that Isiah didn't get penalized. Then again, maybe it's not that surprising. Stern may not have wanted to set a precedent, or maybe he didn't feel the information was definitive enough (although most people felt it was).

At any rate, we're without Nate for 10, Mardy for 6, Jeffries for 4 and James for 1.

I actually don't think these suspensions hurt our team too much (we already suck anyway), however they kill the Nuggets: Carmelo 15, Smith 10, Nene 1... ouch.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

In terms of the Nuggets suspensions, the reason you sit your stars in a blowout is in case something happens that could cause you to lose them (injury, suspension, etc.)

He risked it, and this is what he gets in return.

So...
Are we glad we didn't buyout Marbury?
Are we MORE upset we didn't draft Williams?
Let's go Knicks. That's amare

It hurts the Nuggest much worse than the Knicks.

oohah
they are a playoff team playing meaningful basketball games and they just lost an elite scorer.

There is nothing but upside for Knicks who now have an excuse another year of .350 basketball.

I can see ISiah now in Feb... "Losing those players to suspensions like that really hurt our growing chemistry."

Yup.

I'd bet all my money on that

Karl is such a loser...Actual audio from Karl..He swears on his children that he wasn't running the score up...He just didnt want his players to leave the Garden with single digit lead...His team would have felt bad if they didn't win by double digits..He says it's all Isiah's fault and the he started the whole thing...He say Isiah is a Jackarse..

He's kidding right...are they betting on the game or something.

I thought a win was a win was a win.

He sounds like a poster here.

Funny thing, this all affects the Bulls run towards a lotto pick more than it affects the knicks!

I think it was pretty close to right. I could argue the JJ2 suspension, but I even see the logic with that one. Stern did a good job. It was tough, but not unjust.

Good- now it's all done and all the haters predicting an Isiah suspension can eat crow for buying into that nonsense in the first place.

that's right, pure nonsense

some of the knick fan mentality is quite amazing. backing your team and coach during times like thses must be very difficut.

Also add another $500,000 lost from the organization, Isiah has the most expensive tab in the history of the league

Wouldn't it be a net savings for the organization? I can't imagine the salary for all the players suspended being less than 500k.

haha.

bulls = kevin durant
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
