You know I love you like a red-headed, freckle-faced stepchild on my Aunt Glady's side of the family but please let me refresh your keen memory of what so-called knowledgeable fans know.

Just for the record, Here are a couple of other things that the average fans knows:

1. How to furiously BOO Renaldo Balkman who can actually play a lick

2. How to give a standing ovation to Maciej Lampe who is no longer in the league

2. How to chant "Jeff Van Gundy..." as the second coming of Red Holzman...

4. How conveniently Van gundy quit on the Knicks rather than ride out the tough times

3. How to welcome Marbury home with open arms

4. How to turn on him like a villian the instant he does something they find unforgivable... whatever that thing was...

5. How to parrot each and every negative headline in the paper like it was the gospel truth

6. How Chris Dudley is much more lovable than Eddy Curry

7. How any General Manager is better than Isiah Thomas but you really can't forcast how long it should take him to reach the second round of the playoffs from a standing start.

(see Jerry West)

8. Ricky Williams was a better draft pick than Donovan McNabb

Of course he is. He was our novelty player, just like Herb Williams before him. He could do no wrong. (He also wasn't lazy or overweight.)

Just for the record, Here are a couple of other things that the average fans knows:

1. How to furiously BOO Renaldo Balkman who can actually play a lick (You loved that pick on draft night, still would like Marcus Williams or Lowry in that slot, only person who cheered in that crowd was spike and lets face it spike would never boo another black person in a position of power, FACT!!!)

2. How to give a standing ovation to Maciej Lampe who is no longer in the league (He was supposed to be a lotto pick we got him in the second round, anaylsts loved the pick, and he saluted the crowd on the way up there it was a comical pick, but seemed like a good addition at the time, you were happy, be honest)

2. How to chant "Jeff Van Gundy..." as the second coming of Red Holzman... (Best coach we have had in 10 years)

4. How conveniently Van gundy quit on the Knicks rather than ride out the tough times "no excuse he quit we know that, the guy was trying to save the remaining hairs he had"

3. How to welcome Marbury home with open arms (What else was NY going to do, there hearts were shattered during the layden years)

4. How to turn on him like a villian the instant he does something they find unforgivable... whatever that thing was... (Pretty much saying your the best pg in the league and never making a clutch play since you've been here, missing clutch free throws, blowing games with turnovers, starting fights with teamates, getting in the middle of a power struggle, having a relationship that is totally unproffessional with the GM, and calling yourself Starbury over and over again, is enough to rub people the wrong way, lets compound that with the fact that the knicks are terrible)
5. How to parrot each and every negative headline in the paper like it was the gospel truth (It isn't when concerned with this team and its coach, WHO FUCKING HAS THEM BELIEVING THAT ITS NOT THEIR FAULT AND THE FANS HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THEM PLAYING LIKE SHIT)

6. How Chris Dudley is much more lovable than Eddy Curry (Dudley was terrible and not loveable fans applauding him making a free throw was a tremendous joke, however if Eddy had Dudleys heart he would have been an allstar three times arleady)

7. How any General Manager is better than Isiah Thomas but you really can't forcast how long it should take him to reach the second round of the playoffs from a standing start. (Fans appreciate honesty and a semblance of a plan, he treats everyone with disrespect and has made a mockery of the franchise, had he not brought wimps for players that he needs to defend because they can't handle making millions of dollars and having to produce for their guarented contracts)

(see Jerry West)SEE WHAT THAT HE HAS HAD THAT TEAM IN THE PLAYOFFS EACH YEAR IN AN EXTREMELY TOUGH CONFERNECE AND LOST HIS CHANCE AT THREE SUPERSTARS BECAUSE OF A TRADE A PERVIOUS GM MADE......RIGHT I would take their future over ours anyday of the week
8. Ricky Williams was a better draft pick than Donovan McNabb

Conditioning. Doesn't fight for boards. Doesn't play D. Doesn't move often if its not offensively.

SAS said the article was an unfair media characterization?

That's BS. SAS is an apologist who acts like his tough on people when he's really not. He's got all kinds of hysterics and gyrations, but if you look at what he says, it's never as bold as his presentation.

i can't say he's ever held any punches when it comes to Marbury or the Big Turd signing though. (& rightly so obviously)... when it comes to the Knicks i don't think he's an apologist... he's a bandwagoner in the extreme when it comes to football & baseball however, switching allegiances from the Yankees to the Mets & Jets to the Giants at the flip of a coin depending on who's playing better at the time.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

The article has little that would justify such a cover. A misleading headline at the least.
