I have not watched the last 2 games.

Its just not that much fun and there are other things to do.

I record each game and if I have time I watch them. I stay up late to do this sometimes.

Now I want to sleep.

I don't want my kids to keep coming in and saying: Dad, WTF are you doing? Watch porn or somthing that makes you feel good!

thanks son!, I'll get the playboy channel and pounce your Mom when I get a chubby."

" Way to go day, at least your buring calories, getting your back stronger, and your not so grumpy!"

"'Nite son!"

"Good nite dad!"

I'm always amazed that no matter how piss poor the job Larry has done with the Knicks, fans here somehow are still riding his jock...

[Edited by - holfresh on 12-06-2006 11:31 PM]

Typical. Missed the point entirely because his hatred for Larry is so strong.

How about this, replace Larry's name with Don Chaney's name. Or how about Lenny Wilkens' name? Or maybe Herb Williams' name? It works with any of them.

I get ur trying to diss Isiah's poor construction of this roster...It's just over a month into the season and ur whining and moaning not even giving the team a chance to gel...

Because when a team doesn't either know how to play defense or doesn't have the desire to at the quarter mark of the season, it's obviously just a matter of time before they do.

I guess all the time spent with Marv have not lead to any significant breakthrough...

Really it has.

I now can see things for what they are, not for what should be.

I live in the present now, and have learned not to hold on to things.

Marv's work has been excellent.

And the high colonics are wonderful!

You live for this.

You mean for getting one day closer to getting my Knicks back and hope for a brighter future?

You're Goddamn right I do.

With Dolan and Mills making the decisions? As if.

No, Mills goes too. And we can pray that Dolan's daddy takes the team away from him.

Then hopefully they get someone in here who has a clue.
So then why are you in a war against Isiah when it seems you know that replacing Mills and Dolan is at least as important?

Why fight wars you can't win? Nobody likes Dolan and Mills, but they could still be here for a very long time (especially Dolan), and there's nothing we can do about it. Even with a bad owner, the GM has some flexibility to not make a laughingstock of the franchise. I don't blame the transition from '03 - '06 on Dolan and Mills, I blame it on Isiah. They gave him flexibility to do his "magic" and we have this.

Getting a GM with some common sense is a big step in the right direction. So far the only thing Isiah has successfully impressed me with is his popcorn.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I actually wouldnt mind keeping isiah but prohibiting him from making trades that add salary or taking risks. the reason i say this is because, i think it could actually be fun to start a total rebuild in NY with isiah at the helm, I say this becuase I like every player isiah has drafted so far.

I still am debating whether IT should stay on, but I do agree that I like every player he has drafted, including Collins who I think will be a solid pg in this league (i.e. a young Eric Snow).

Getting a GM with some common sense is a big step in the right direction. So far the only thing Isiah has successfully impressed me with is his popcorn.

Isiah might have 'sold' Dolan that he could re-build on the fly, but Dolan wanted to hear it, wanted to believe it. Dolan is waking up, just like he did with the rangers. That is why Mo T & Jalen were bought out.

Isiah's bad moves were Marbury- but that was his first and clearly Dolan wanted it.

Signing JJ to his MLE deal hasn't worked out, but at the time, we had no center. Granted, he should have gone another direction even with those circumstances. Damage, one 7 foot stiff signed to max mle. His deal isn't choking the franchise.

Francis was a horrible deal. They're blaming LB, but Isiah is free of guilt.

All of his coaching hires sucked.

Lets say you fire Isiah and hire anyone you want.

What leverage do they have to try to undo any mistake made?

How do they get rid of Marbury & Francis if they come in, Dolan says- the rebuild on the fly is garbage, didn't work.

Are fans going to start showing up? Stop booing- because Marbury and Francis will be here.

Its a huge catch 22. If isiah did it on purpose, you could almost say he created a situation so bad that he can't be fired, because it will get worse.

Still- LB sucked last year. And while LB shoulders some responsibility for the record, his hiring is directly at the feet of Isiah & Dolan.

Isiah is as big an enigma as the players he brings in. One one side he clearly knows how to draft and use that to add good young talent. On the other side he's trading away picks for garbage guys with crapola contracts.

its not a catch 22. When someone is failing as entirely as Isiah has you sack him. Are you saying Isiah should have job security because his moves are SO bad that nobody coming in could undo them, so might as well keep Isiah? Cmon.. fire this joke. Get someone with a track record for evaluating young players and put a 3 year plan in place. Isiah's plan never stretched beyond 6 months.. its pretty obvious by his moves.

great quote

does the team's performance the last few years put the whole "can't rebuild in NY" thing away? if we had a team of DLees and renaldos and even nates the fans would have a much harder time booing than now.

just a thought.

isles, maybe you should lay off the idiot labels... speaking for myself, i think Isiah's done a good job of drafting talent, so if that comment makes me an idiot, i think you could apply the same label to about 90% of the people on this forum... his personnel moves & trades have left alot to be desired, but if you're telling me you don't like what you're seeing from Q Rich, Curry, Balkman & D Lee, then maybe the idiot label needs to be applied to yourself

let me tell you something, EVERYONE on this forum wants to see this team win... stop pretending like you're the only one on this forum who's looking out for the true longterm vision... there's different ways to build a contending team... hating on everything a certain GM does by default isn't my idea of an intelligent plan of action... Isiah deserves criticism for many of the moves he's made, but calling people idiots for supporting a few of the moves that have worked out is pretty... well, idiotic.

For the most part that's all he's done well. Nobody argues with that. Perhaps instead of making him GM three years ago, we could have put him in charge of the draft for us.

I agree. For the most part I like Isiah's draft picks, with the exception of not liking the Frye pick, and thinking we just took Balkman too high. I liked the Ariza pick, thought the Nate pick was decent, like the Lee pick and think Mardy Collins wasn't bad (although not the PG we should've had), considering we took Balkman off the board earlier.

His moves as GM suck, with the exception of the Q trade. If you'll notice, three or four other teams have also benefited from the Suns simply dumping draft picks and excess salary, so it's a good trade, and congrats to Isiah for taking advantage of the opportunity, but let's not get carried away... it's one good move in a series of 9 or 10 bad moves.

Yes, overall he's done a bad job, yes, I think we're in a worse position than we were three years ago, and yes, I think he should be fired. I also think Isles application of "idiot" was quite justified.
