The Knicks are 20 games into the season. They are 7-13. How would you grade them at this stage of the season? Feel free to grade on your own criteria, but try to be clear about why you gave the grade you did.
A -- Excellent
B -- Good
C -- Satisfactory
D -- Poor
F -- Unacceptable

Bip, i gave them a D... an F is what i'd classify as complete & utter failure in every facet of the game... i can't go that far when assessing this team because i've seen some good things out of the 2nd unit & some good improvement out of some of the young guys... i still say calling them gutless is a little harsh... they've shown alot of heart in many of the games i've watched this season, even if they came up short.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I have no problem with that assessment TMS. I like some little things I've seen as well. The rookies make you smile but there are still some glaring problems that need to be fixed. Like the excuse making. That still really bother's me. We seem to be condoning and supporting mental weakness not teaching our guys to be fierce and thrive in all conditions.
I just hope that people will like me

C

THe home record is abysmal. Marbury is abysmal, but showing signs. Injuries have had an affect, so C not a D.

Next 20 games are crucial to the season. Must be over 500 in the next 20 to have a shot at anything this year. 12-8 would be great and possible.

Grade C (Satisfactory)

If the team didn't show any fight (even though they seem unsure of themselves at times); then it would be easy to give them a poor mark. Like it or not; it's a team taht looks like it's out there for the first time trying to find their way to having a positive identity in this league. In part because of al the turmoil in recent memory. They have a feel like they're surprised that they can win some when they're expected to lose; and they're far from being a team that fans can go into a game and feel like "we should have this game in the bag".

yet we can say that wecan't envision a team who can out right beat us and we have no hope in beating like i did the past few years. true, we are an incosistent team with overrated talent. but they are not an utter failure and i do not have a false sense that they will improve like last year. i know they will. but don't get it twisted. my standards are always high for this team as it was in 99 or 94. i am still not satistfied and won't be until a championship.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
