You guys have this all wrong....When Phoenix assembled it's current team..They weren't thinking about drafting "franchise players" to be successful...When Dallas assembled their team, they weren't thinking about getting a Franchise player either, Dirk exceeded expectation...Lakers weren't thiking Franchise player either...They won 3 championships through trades...You think Utah is thinking "franchise Player"....Sacramento has a nice run...Who was the franchise player they drafted....Indiana was built through trades...Houston has two franchise players, how is it working out for them, Nets arguable has two as well..Toronto has one,Philly,Denver Minny, Seattle..and the list goes on...Chicago has drafted about 5 "franchise players since Micheal left, how is that working out for them...The lottery is not the holy grail to winning Championships and being successful...Developing young players, drafting and trading wisely works as well...Take off the blinders and throw out the kool aid from the Patrick Ewing days...Oh by the way, that didn't win us a Championship either...

hol, your arguments are kinda weak. If you can't draft a franchise player ala the Lakers (oh, BTW, they did draft Kobe, he's OK as Franchise) you have have CAP ROOM to trade or acquire one. That's the other half of the situation Isiah has forgot to manage responsibly.

Kobe was a trade on draft day...Doesnt matter, Shaq was the engine that drove that car...Isiah forget to manage responsibly????...The salary cap was at 93 mil when he got here with an owner saying win now or else...Come on lets not forget the facts here...

So the fans should accept the way they run the team into the ground?

Onward into the ground! Maybe if its run far enough into the ground, we'll get to China and we can restart the franchise over in Chinese leagues where the salary cap won't be an issue!

Fans panic and have no patients...We have a young group with talented players and no one wants to give them a chance...Left up to most posters here, Curry would have been gone last year along with Frye...They haven't even scratched the surface on what they could possibly be...We have watch our franchise run into he ground after Ewing left...We have Curry playing his best week in a Knick uniform...Can we give it some time before we do the doom and gloom dance please...

back to square one I see. Who in the frontcourt can defend? How are Marbury & Francis going to co-exist on the same team? How are we winning a championship playing zero defense? How are we Bringing in a franchise player with a $140mm payroll for the next 3yrs at the very least?

isiah apparently is coaching to his team's strengths. at least that's what we're led to believe. if that's the case, and we're 6-13, then so far, this team is showing us that they're not that good.

No, it's not good right now but in basketball, it takes time to gel....It take players time to understand and thrive in a new offense...Surely you can see the team playing within the offensive scheme better today than they did two weeks ago...Defensively they have to get better understanding each other and trust their help...But I know you guys all this...

This team has had 3 months to gel, how long are you going to keep using this excuse? 2 months into the season, a 125 million dollar payroll and this team STILL can't beat the likes of the Toronto Raptors, AT HOME, no less.

Memo to Isiah Thomas: Thanks for trying your hand with the Knicks but your tenure is up. This is your 4th year(thanks for pointing out my error Guns) with the team, your record has gone done every year since you been here and there still isn't a franchise player on this team. Thanks for your best efforts, good luck in your future endeavors.

you thought the offense was better last night? i disagree. quentin is on fire from 3 to keep us in the game. curry went nuts in the end. but where was our offensive scheme? toronto is one of the worst defensive teams in the league and we still looked totally disjointed. our turnovers are still way up there. outside of those blowout victories, our offense has looked pretty bad. we are lucky that our 1 on 1 guys are decent.

IT deserves more than a one month trial period as head coach. The team is playing harder than they did last year. Lets see if that will eventually turn into wins.

I thought Training Camp and the preseason were designed to be koombaya time for basketball teams. I'm sick of the excuses, this team has had plenty of time to gel together.

I agree that a Franchise player is not required. The alternative, however, is for players to sacrifice and play a very team oriented style (like the Pistons). However, I think it is difficult these days at the NBA level to get a team of guys together who are willing to do that consistently.

Training camp is when the coach experiments. The beginning of the season is when he finds out what really does and does not work, and when the team really learns how to play. Look at how many teams have started slow, including Chicago and the defending champs.

I don't agree that the Knicks have had enough time to gel to full performance. 5 weeks, or 9 if you count training camp is a short period of time. Other teams will start quickly then peter out, like the Knicks did a couple of years back.

It really is early. Let's wait until the end of the calendar year to trash Isiah. Even I waited that long to trash LB last year!

Nice game last week. Booyah!

This isn't worth all this typing. All anybody wanted the first month was 6-11 to 8-9.... They did 6-11. Now this month all anybody wants is 10-6 to 8-8, it's 2 games into the month. NYK, can you dust off the same old arguement you been saving since last year alittle closer to the Dec22 then Dec2????

JUst a small request, I guess.
