Sugar, I don't get this. I'm enjoying all the little Curry blurbs you're providing us but I feel like you're posting them because you think people are talking bad about Eddy's offense and your trying to prove a point. We ALL know how good Eddy has been offensively lately and not one person is complaining about the offense he's brought us. People ARE complaining about his man-man defense, his help defense, and his rebounding because they are canceling out any positive offensive production Eddy has provided.

The thread was about him scoring 20 point games in 6 straight games. Doesnt it make sense then that I'd be speaking about his offense since thats what the thread is about? The real queestion is why do people keep trying to hijack the thread in to other areas? :)
Also the blurb I posted was to show he was working while the rest of his teammates were relaxing

I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

You know, you got a good point. My fault.

I think that's like the 3 time EVER someone has conceded a point or admitted mistake in these forums.

Hey, people can call me a hater all they want but I'm just calling things how I see them I know when to concede a mistake when I'm wrong.

Sugar brought up a very valid point about how this was a thread about Eddy's scoring streak and what I was talking about has nothing to do with it. I can admit my own mistakes

Just for Sugar, I'll bring in my own Curry blurb.
"I'm feeling real good right now," he said. "I'm feeling like if I catch it around the basket, I'm going to score. I feel like my teammates realize that and they're looking for me."

I think he means it would be a better sign if Curry's production was actually impacting games enough to help the team win rather than being a Marbury 20/8 stat producer.

^ Yes. I am encouraged tho by his numbers on offense... the 12 boards last night stadns out to me more than anything. I Hope he can continue that. What i'd like to see from Eddy honestly even if he doesent block 3 shots a game.. I'd like him to use his fouls properly. I'd like to see at least 3 hard fouls a game from Eddy - and to avoid getting into foul trouble i'd like to see him avoid ticky tack fouls and offensive fouls... If he can hammer a gaurd that gets to the paint at least 3 times a game.. I'd be real happy

Curry will never be a 12 boards a game or 3 shot blocks a game guy but if he can be a 18-8-1 center that shoots 54% from the field and gets to the line 8 times a game I think we have a major asset.
People often get hung up on certain things. They assume the center is supposed to be the teams best rebounder. That isnt usually the case over the years. They think good players must average 20-10 but I think only 2-3 guys in the league last season averaged 20-10 and only 1 center did that. If we can get 18-8-1 out of Curry for each season I can live with that.

Sugar, 18-8-1 are great numbers for Curry to aim at, although I don't think he'll put up Bosh/Howard/Ok4 type overall numbers, my hope/expectations for him rest somewhere in the 22-8-2 range(that is sort of in the Ilgauskis range) while being at the very least adequate from the line (70%).

Personally I don't expect huge rebounding numbers from Curry(he has small hands and relatively short arms when compared to some of the best rebounders(KG, Wallace, Howard, Marion)).

I would love Curry to average the set of numbers you gave. I would hope he can average closer to my set because I think that is more a true fulfillment of his potential. The best part is now people are seeing the motivation to reach that level, not the apathy he has shown in the past.

Joe I agree with a lot you said. I just have a few questions. Why do you think Curry has small hands and short arms? I thought he had big hands and a good wing span. Ewing had small hands for a center.

Also when did Big z become a 22-8 guy? :)

I think in his best year he was like a 17-7 guy

I agree on the rebounding.. i think 8 boards a game is reasonable and i'd be happy with that. But if you read my previous post im talking about fouls not rebounding

He has lost alot of rebounds, and he just seems to have hands of stone....Maybe he just doesn't have soft hands as opposed to having small hands. And I haven't measured Curry's arms that is something that I just look at. Howard, Wallace, Chandler, Marion, Kirilenko....all just seem to have the super long arms. Curry doesn't, but once again, that is just something I think I see.

You would be correct. I thought at one point he was better, but that leads into a another direction. If Curry only finishes on the same level as Big Z, I'll be disappointed.

Joe I think Currys wing span is actually 7-6 and a half if most reports are accurate. That is pretty good. Balkman is 6-8 but hyas a 7 foot wingspan. Thats good as well. That was the same as Jackie Butler and Sweetney.

curry likes to swipe alot. since he doesn't move his body, he's using his hands on defense. same goes for almost every player we have. when guards penetrate, instead of getting a body in front of them, people are swiping at the player and the ball.

I completly agree about the fouls. I would go one step furthur even. If a guy flops on curry I want Curry to land on them hard. He did that twice in the last week and I didnt see another flop from those players again. Put it in their brains if they want to flop on the floor they are risking 300 pounds coming down right on top of them hard

I said it wasn't anything conclusive, it was just from looking at him. Than his poor rebounding(that's just the way it is/was) can be explained by a lack of motivation that he is starting to show. I really hope it is that easy bro. And I mean that in all seriousness.
