18 points and 7 rebounds would be by far the best cebter production in the league not named Yao. And even a third grader saw that Lee should start and frye should come in and kill the other teams bench.

Solace, I think you hit a nerve.

Are you sure? He only had five consecutive responses in shock.

All I was saying is that Frye isn't starter material, but will probably make a decent backup center. Too high for a #8 pick and it's showing. The fact this his opponents PER this season is 3x his own says enough about how poorly Frye has played. He wasn't *that* great last year either. Backup center is his future.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Looking at the past couple of games, the Bulls doesn't count because we were without Q who provides a lot of defense and punch offensively, the team looks increasingly better without Frye in the lineup killing the team defensivly.

Lee has been horrible with turning the ball over, but when he is in the game and Balkman is in there fighting we just look like a much better team. And although i hate eddy curry, if the guards would make more of an effort to use him like Crawford and Francis were doing last night he is going to finish in point blank range with authority something Frye can't do without a running start.

Once Jefferies returns and we add another defender I think we should be able to capitalize at home and not fall behind early, and start to climb into the winning ranks.

Curry/Frye are so bad on the defensive that the only way this team will ever be succeful is to utlize lineups that contain the following Lee/Q/Jefferies with one of the bigs at all times.

This team isn't that far away if Isiah uses the right lineups and allows Crawford and Nate to drive and setup Curry more often.

How is it possible to make an assessment like that after 2 games...2 games where we are 1-1...

Fyre is better than a backup center. I, however, agree that Lee might make more sense as the starter. His rebounding will offset Curry's lack of rebounding and Fyre and Balkman might be a good second unit combination. I expect that Frye will start when he gets back, but Lee might get the starting jig back before the end of the season. It really will depend on how the team plays over the next 3 weeks while Frye is out. If we play at or above .500, then I think IT has to keep Lee in the starting lineup.

when frye rebounds better and blocks shots more effectively, it will make all the sense in the world to start him.

QRich and Jeffries enable the knicks to slide Frye back into the starting lineup.

The Lee/Balkman bench anchored by Crawford is when the knicks lower the boom on the other teams.

When one of our scoring guards goes to the bench, they have to be replaced by scoring and that feels like Frye.

If curry can improve his game, why not frye?

People forget that Lee started every game in our 6 game winning streak last season as well. Not that Lee is perfect. He brings rebounding and energy but he has also let up points as a defender the last 2 games to Gooden, Nocioni, etc
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

I don't see that happening. He's one of the worst rebounding big men in the game. He's only the second worst on our team though (thanks, Eddy). Next question.

frye was sort of coming around for a while there before he got injured. sure he started off the season terribly but he should still definately get minutes when he comes back. there are worse frontcourt players on the team besides him and also hes part of our future......has good work ethic........will work on weak points.....etc etc

fyre is a robot that can't move and only hits shots at point blank range, and open jumpers that are set up for him, he never get garbage points has no hops and is one of the worst defenders at his position in the nba

Starting Frye is just plain stupid, you bring him off the bench and don't play him next to curry sometimes i think people just post without ever watching a game, we will get killed if those two are on the court at the same time just like we have been all season......

no more frantic comebacks because our bigs can't defend.....

Problem with Frye is he is hanging out on the perimeter to much. Lee on the other hand hangs around 5-10 feet from the basket. Frye needs to stop and rethink his game and get closer to the basket.

Another thing is Lee knows he isn't going to get the basketball where as Frye think he might get the basketball. As a result Lee heads to the basket for offensive boards and put backs Frye well gets caught looking for the basketball on the perimeter.
