^^^^ Bong, Bong.. you hit it right on the head. But I see NYK you keep saying Lotto pick, but if it turns out to be a 14-12, nobody is going to care, espeically if the bulls pick is 16-18.

That is a lot of IF's. In my opinion giving up pick #2 in last years draft is already too much for Eddy Curry. Now you want to throw another pick on top of it?

The Bulls are a better team and every year start out with a poorer record because they have a 9game road trip every year while the circus comes to Chicago. The Bulls will not finish with less than 45 wins which means guess what, we're trading picks!

[Edited by - nyk4ever on 11-25-2006 3:38 PM]

The phrase "giving up a pick" is not accurate, and misleading. It's a potential swap, so the Knicks still get a pick either way, and may keep theres. There is no question that it's too early to say what will happen, but the best case scenario -- other than the Bulls ending with an equal or worse record than us -- is that there is only a marginal difference in record, we don't wind up in the lottery, and the Knicks are still able to draft the guy they want. That is a big if still, but not as big as it seemed after game 1 of the season where everyone was going crazy about the Bulls performace against the Heat and Ty Thomas's dunk, and now we see the Bulls have a worse record than us, and we are in the playoff hunt.

How about this saying that every rebound Curry gets falls in his hands is wrong, because, omg, he does get some rebounds that don't just fall into his hands. Does anybody really think that when a guy says "every rebound Curry gets falls into his hands" he means that "every" rebound really falls into his hands? I think its pretty obvious it means that what he is trying to say is that most of the rebounds Curry gets, and he does not get too many, fall into his hands. Jumping on somebody for using a figure of speech is retarded.

And another thing, a guy you trade 1, and possibly 2 lottery picks for, along with a former lottery pick, regardless of how good he is, better produce top 5 numbers for his position. Especially if he can't stop his mom from scoring on him.

So you bash Curry for what isiah traded for him? That makes little sense. Curry isnt the GM

Yes. Also Sweetney is not sweetney, he is another highlottery pick. But if you think about it Tim thomas was another high lottery pick........... so we basically traded four High number one picks for Eddie Curry, some how.

OK - this are Eddy stats:

Year G GS MPG FG% 3p% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG
06-07 14 14 29.4 .514 .000 .562 1.6 4.9 6.5 0.5 0.2 0.3 3.00 3.90 13.4
Career 375 285 23.9 .535 1.000 .654 1.7 3.4 5.2 0.5 0.3 0.8 2.05 3.10 12.2

His career numbers are not even close to what good center should have.
This year he regressed even more in TO and BS and sitting in the same mediocre place with PPG and RGP considering he is playing more minutes

14 games a season does not make...... Last year was the "black" year and shouldn't be spoken of. This is basically year one with Curry, can he get a little time??? YOu know players do have slow starts....

Can you name all the 7 foot players that have came straight out of hs that were much better by age 23? based on how horrible his numbers are I have to assume there have to be many dozens of them.

Tell me the Bulls wouldn't trade Ty Thomas, and Sweetney back to us for Curry right now. He is the missing piece to a serious championship run for them. He's the paint presence they are missing right now.

I'm sure when you dislike or like a player, you think you are probably right as well.

In all fairness to those who gave up on Eddy, the fans have been through too much to stay optimistic. The Knick fan base is like the Met fan base now when it comes to expecting the worst. Hopefully, Curry and company can help change that.

Chicago would not only give up Thomas for Curry, they would rescind the pick swap and probably give us another first round pick for him. Could you imagine Curry with Ben Wallace and PJ Brown next to him to clean up the boards and do all the dirty work.

just hope the Knicks don't win the lottery this year... anything short of the Bulls landing Greg Oden & the Knicks make out well in the Curry trade.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I think I would still probably take Aldridge right now if I had to choose between him and Curry, but the fact that we have a Curry who is starting to come into his own is more than enough for me.

We already have a stronger Aldridge. His name is Channing frye. How many jump shooting 235 pound guys do we need?
