I think this thread is just a little painfull on a lot of levels. I mean we may not have won a title, but we were good. We were once proud. We were once the bane of all teams that had to play in the Garden. We were once the toughest team in the league, the most physical, the most gutty and gritty.

Now we are wondering if Jerome James should start.

I will totally admit it, I'm jaded. I'm glad we got to hang the other night.. it was areally good time. But with the Knicks it usually only takes another game or so for the reality to come crashing down. I'm trying to fight it man.... really trying. HELP!!!!!

You are corect I RESPONDED to these guys who are not here to talk basketball. 3 posts right away and the only purpose was to gang up on me. Then after that I read Killa's thread and decided to address why I feel I needed to come back at you guys and the reason is...I needed to come back at you guys. However, I also said I will do my best not to respond to the constant insults that are cast my way going forth. And I haven't, it's been almost an hour now.

Again, the problem is not a comment here or there but dudes banding together and acting like a gang, jumping on threads with no other purpose but to insult or needle.

Examine your behavior. I did and made a decision, and if everyone else did, maybe this will return to the forum where I lurked for a year to make sure it wasn't a haven for bitterness.

Or you can jst pretend there is no validity to my commentary and keep on doing what you are doing. You are an adult and I don't have the keys to this forum, so there is nothing I can do but voice my protest.

Who cares if James fouls out? It's either he or Curry fouling out, I think James will at least give Yao a little more to think about while he is in.

As far as your participation in UK Mafia, answer that for yourself. Do you pile on with the usual suspects? Do you simply stand on your own? Do you feel the need to initiate derogatory language? Examine your behavior...honestly! Then decide.

What revelations did you discover when you examined your behavior?

Maybe that would help others to do the same.

What I discovered is that to reply to the petty insults in kind or to escalate only creates more petty inultry and feeds the souls of those who thrive on this type of interaction. Right now I count you amongst those people, I am sorry to say, because I thought we had reached a point where we could discuss, even heatedly, without the usual insults. That is what I unearthed.

Fishmike I apologize if I seem angry. That seems to me a natural reaction when discussion cannot be made without constant insult. These are the same guys who were doing the name-calling of me on a thread of a different topic last night, and they brought it to this thread. I had let it go. That angers me.

I honestly think you are way angrier than me because you introduce angry behavior and insults without provocation. find me an example of me doing that. I am not perfect, but I don't start the insults.

Not that this is any of my business, but...........from an outsider observer it did appear that people responded to the post. They didn't agree with it but they responded. They reacted sarcastically in their responses. Man, that's the first time that has happened. Suck it up oooh ahhh. YOu raise a point and you back it up with a reason. I think your reason is faulty but at least you back it up. But I do think it's also 100% fair to say that it's ironic that the people that complained about line-up changes last year are asking for line-up changes this year. Just ironic that's all.

oohah.. stop asking for examples. I printed what the 4 responses to this thread were. None of them contained insults or personal attacks. Then I presented your responses to those 4 and EVERYONE contained personal attacks and insults.
What I discovered is that to reply to the petty insults in kind or to escalate only creates more petty inultry and feeds the souls of those who thrive on this type of interaction.
