The nets are not crying because RJ and vince are redundant anyway.. Vince and kidd can carry that team, they could certaintly carry our team if we had them.....

What a swing and a miss with this exuse. Uhhhhh Jeffries, James, Francis, are more redundant on this team than Carter and R.J. for the Nets. You also don't hear the Grizz complaining about not having Gasol.

man, get over yourself. Jeffries is not redundant since he is considered a defensive player, something we never had at the SF position with his size. Francis and James? who is complaining about them being out as a reason for our woes? Carter and Jefferson are pretty much the same player and both are really good players, the nets losing one is not goint to hurt as much since vince is already a allstar caliber player doing the same things jefferson is..... What the hell are you talking about?

Q plays defense or do you not call what he did against MacGrady defense? Q by a wide Margin blows Jeffries out of the water offensively. Is Q not considered a SF on this team by you? Carter and Jefferson are both similar when it comes to athleticism to a degree but Carter's offensive game is wide spread across the court, far more versatile meanwhile Jefferson's is limited. Not to mention having both allows them to play an open court game more easily. Jefferson is superior in defense to Carter. Since when is losing a bonafied starter on a team not considered a valid reason to complain? Although Jefferies was more than likely the Knick starter can anyone argue that he should start over Q? Matter of fact when he gets healthy he JJ should come off the bench because the backcourt and interior froncourt is what's so pathetic on this team.

you pretty much explained why Q and jeffries are not redundant.. first of all Q is better suited at the SG position, while Jeffries is a true SF.. He has more size and is really more of a defensive player than Q. Although Q is a good defender he is also a good offensive player, having both of them on the floor for the knicks IMO would make the knicks a better team by far. So I don't see how you say Q and Jeffries are redundant... thanks for making my argument for me...

I'm looking at it from a more intellectual standpoint of how this team is structured, needs, and utilization. If Q wasn't in the starting line-up as the starting small forward the team would be down by 40pts after 2qrts. The team has 5 gaurds Nate, Chokebury, Francis, Jamal, Collins(another position that's redundant) so Nooooooo Q is better suited as the SF on this team plus he stretches the D on the perimeter with his shooting, Jeffries provides 1 thing actually which is supposed defense, although it's overrated. With the addition of Balkman(and you could even argue Lee) who provides the same thing, who appears to be just as good as Jeffries if given the playing time makes Jeffries redundant on this team at the SF position. This team isn't getting killed by opposing teams SF's, it's getting killed by gaurd/backcourt & interior/frontcourt play offensively and defensively.

I don'tmind having lee, balkman and Jeffries because all 3 can play more than one position, plus if we are going to be a uptempo team, then we can't have enoug bigs who can rebound, defend and finish... I really want to see Q ad the SG and Jeffries at the SF, then you can have lee get minutes at the PF and sometimes center depending on matchups. Balkman can play some SF and PF, so I am cool with that group.. but I agree, marbury francis, and craw are redundant, they all pound the ball, have LOW IQ's although jamal is a little smarter at times, and don't defend that well.. I could do without marbs and francis, they are redundant moreso in the area of them being ineffective pointguards...

I like Q just where he's at because he's producing at this position, understands it, and has been playing it for most of his career. Jeffries really wasn't needed on this team. Now that he's here he has to be utilized but he for surely should't be taking away any of Q's time.
