Let me get this straight. Are you telling me a team of David Lee, Balkman, Nate, Q and Craw busting their assess and going 20-62 would get boo'd in the garden? Maybe on some nights because it is NY. But in general the fans would love that effort. We aren't idiots. We know when our team is working out there. And when we see guys lollygag giving up wide open lay-up after lay-up fans respond. In the first 5 minutes last night we found ourselves down 10 pts. We had already given up four dunks and 3 or 4 uncontested lay-ups. It wasn't until Isiah inserted the second unit that the team started playing hard and fighting back in the game. It didn't matter that the Nuggets fans weren't applauding them. What matters is they played hard and fought. Something we have beeen screaming for. Fans aren't haters they just understand what it takes to win and want this fragile bunch to figure it out as well.

The more we watch the Malik Rose's and Balman's and Nates and lee's fight back into these games the more obvious it becomes that we quit last year. We hated our coach and instead of winning for ourselves we quit on ourselves. Now our vets are struggling to get out of this rut where losing has become a habit for our organization. We are left praying that our young players that don't know any better can teach them the right way. How asse backwards.
I just hope that people will like me

our fans are just FANATIC... I volentear myself if anyone wants to do a study.. lol

No but for real, we are truely die hard fans... we want nothin more than our team to WIN..... And we respect effort, but we put our hearts and soul into the team so when they lollygag around and play lazy we have the ****in right to voice our frustrations. Live with it, or play harder!!!!

anyone who heard that crowd light up the Garden that night vs. the Spurs when the Knicks were making their run cannot possibly say the Knicks don't play w/a home court advantage at MSG... that was reminiscent of the old days when the garden was rockin... all Knick fans want is a team that plays w/heart, passion & fire every night... i don't see how u can expect any less than boos if you're just going through the motions out on the floor & the fans have spent big money to go watch that crap... show some heart & you'll see just how much of a home court advantage there is to playing at MSG.

Frye - outstanding character, will adjust to adversity-That has to be shown. So far not to promising.

Are you basing that on 5 games this season, or last year when he had the best PER and was runner up for ROY while the franchise had its worst ever season? I guess that 65 games didn't count as responding to adversity.

I still haven't watched the game. I do see Frye had 3 blocks and a steal. Maybe he is trying to do other things while his offense comes around?

Can the kid have a slump without criticizing him personally, or did we expect him to never ever ever ever have a bad stretch?

It's 5 games for chrissake!

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I love NY to death...but if I was an NBA/MLB player...I would NEVER play in NY.

New York fans are the worse. (not as worse as the Philly fans...but close)

my definition of a bad home crowd is 1 that simply doesn't care about their team... NY fans care TOO much about their team... that's why we boo when we see guys who are obviously not playing up to their potential... u can't just appease us with fancy passes & flashy dribbling if you're not giving it your all on the other end of the floor... if i were an NBA player, i'd have a ton of respect for fans like that.

With everyone clamoring for more tough guys

Why not Donald Rumsfeld as the next Knicks head coach?

He's a tough guy, yes?

Why isn't there a thread on owners who poop on their fans yr after yr.

We have to pay and they send out an inferior product.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
