We have one game and can analyse Marbary in one game.
He has stats 19x8 which is his avarage.
He has 4 turnovers and 6 fouls in 40+ mins which equal to bad defense and hugging the ball - this is his usual game.
He has 2 rebounds in 40+ mins - another indication that he is lazy on defense.
All crunch time shoth was taken by Craf (as usual) and he miss them this time... but he take them. marbs never was a clutch.

I don't believe 30 years person and 10 years veteran can change his ways and his game. Be real gs.

All Knicks points except Nate are half-court guys as well as Fry and Curry. IT want to run motion offense.. Hm... Good luck

Do we have other guys in NBA playing more or less loke Marbs? Of course - Steve, Iverson, Davis, Arenas. Most of them better that Marbs - better numbers, more skills. We are focused on him only becouse he is in NY.

In fact he becoming more and more irrelevant. Which is sad but natural - in NBA player became great or irrelevant with age.

six Marbury turnovers is unacceptable

then again...as the suicide watch continues:

The thrilling and talented Bulls are 1-2, along with Sacramento and Golden State

Boston is 0-3

Denver, Seattle and Dallas are 0-2

Phoenix is 1-3

While Nate Robinson is bringing his A game on the court and it shows

Hurry back Jared Jeffries.

when u'r playing in NY, you have to deal w/the high expectations of the fanbase... in Marbury's case, i don't think he gets even half the negativity directed towards him as a guy like ARod does for example... the funny thing is, i don't even think Marbury needs to win a title to gain the fans' support like ARod does... all Stephon needs to do is to be a team player & be a leader on the floor... the fans are very forgiving when it comes to the overall level of talent on this team, but they can't stand for a guy who gives off such negative vibes & doesn't know how to help his team win games when his shot isn't falling... Marbury is severely lacking in the intangibles that NY fans really appreciate.

Back to basics, Haters don't matter.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

All you have to do is run Marbury through a pick and roll and his opponent will get a lay-up. I've never seen a player worse than him at playing the pick and roll. But then again I haven't been paying attention to Jamal and Steve this year.

as bad as Marbury as a defender, Francis is worse... i can't even count how many times it was Francis' responsibility for backcourt defense & his man beat him downcourt for an easy layup... Francis' disadvantage size wise playing the 2 is also a big problem, as we all saw w/Joe Johnson going off for 30+ the other night... Marbury at least gives an effort to body up down low defending the post against larger guys... Francis always gets burnt trying to front & no one ever rotates when the pass goes over to his man... both are heinous on ball defenders & get caught off the pick & roll... the only G we have that runs through screens & gets over picks w/any consistency is Nate.

They don't even try. They get picked and they immediately expect the big guy to guard the PG. There isn't even an effort to fight through. Then when the lay-up is made they look a the big guy like they did somehting wrong.

speaking of defending the P&R, remember when they gave us the inside look at isiah's training camp and he was instructing the guards to spin a 360 behind the pick to meet their man on the other side?

I thought that seemed ridiculous, and I've never seen it before or since.

I guess they got tired of guys losing sight of the ball handler and then vomiting from dizziness.

Yes and ...

Somewhere Mo Taylor, Mike Doleac, Keith Van Horn, Frank Williams, Qyntel Woods, Shandon Anderson, Slavko Vranes, Maciej Lampe, Howard Eisley, Chollie Ward and Jackie Butler are wondering:

"dang, did my minutes go by fast or what?"

In response to my Comment : PresIke : I will nominate you for ass of the day....

I said isiah doesn't know anything about this game from an executive/coaching standpoint.....

He doubled the payroll when you factor in luxury tax, he has slashed our win total, he has crippled the team with cancerous personalities, every trade and free agent signing has blown up in his face, he was bidding against him self in the crawford deal, he brought big talkers with fragile egos into the garden and they have been a disaster, he has managed to take the knicks out of the national spot light, off the tv schedule cable and major networks, he has literally cost this team 100 million dollars, not to mention humiliated four coaches, he is cynical and doesn't have the slightest idea what he is doing. He pays 25 million dollars for picks, he is so bad his owner has to buy out contracts so he doesn't pay them and he brought in marburys identical twin to be his backcourt mate, he is starting frye next to curry, shall i go on? such an intelligent mind who knows the game and how to build a team surely can't **** up that badly

It's one thing to say someone's statement is asinine, it's another thing to call someone an ass. I'd ask you to kindly refrain from calling me names ever again.

I made my comment specifically on what you wrote. Nowhere in your statement does it explicitly say this refers to Isiah as a GM or Coach. if I was mistaken, so be it, but no where does it say anywhere that your view on Isiah as a coach/GM is what everyone has to accept as gospel, my friend.

Reasonable and rational people can take a perspective that actually sees things differently than you or the rest of the Isiah obsessed critics. In fact, I've NEVER said I am 100% behind Isiah at any time.

I don't need a poorly constructed lesson in Isiah's history with the team, as you have conveniently -- which I am not surprised, based on your posting record that I have observed over the past few weeks -- left out any detail that points fingers at anyone else but he, or even admits that something other than Isiah is behind the Knicks troubles over the past 5-6 years.

Fight MS

>>he was bidding against him self in the crawford deal,

Great game and nice shot by Crawford the other night huh?

he brought big talkers with fragile egos into the garden and they have been a disaster,

Persoanlly, I'm sick and tired of that big talker David Lee. The Jared Jeffries is a loudmouth.

>>he has managed to take the knicks out of the national spot light, off the tv schedule cable and major networks,

MS - in case you haven't noticed the amount of ceverage they generate, the Knicks are always in the national spotlight

>>he has literally cost this team 100 million dollars,

It ain't your money. Get back to us when Houstons slary comes off the books along with a few others.

>>not to mention humiliated four coaches

Herb has a job, Lenny and Larry are still on the payroll and Don Chaney has gotten over it

>>he is cynical

Look in the mirror dude.

>>doesn't have the slightest idea what he is doing.

I smell some strong hatred brewing

>>He pays 25 million dollars for picks,

Say what?

>>he is so bad his owner has to buy out contracts so he doesn't pay them

You funny MS

>>and he brought in marburys identical twin to be his backcourt mate,

what? you prefer Howard Eisley and Frank Williams?

>> he is starting frye next to curry,

Two 6'11 yougsters, three if you count Jard Jeffries, both under 23 years old, with nothing but upside, a crime against humanity, right?

Second fiddle all-star is the perfect role for Marbury. He is not a leader and it's when he tries to impart his "leadership" on the team is when he fails the most.

He's an Enigma and therefore irrelevant to a winning culture. Tonight's game personified this to a T.
