no, it's not nuts... i think everyone would LIKE to see that from Curry... but it's not realistic to expect, which in effect is what you are doing on this thread... you were expressing some disappointment in his 2nd half performance because of the torrid 1st half he had instead of looking at the game he played as a whole... that's unfairly lofty standards to hold any player to... his effort level did not drop off as precipitously as you are making it seem... the offense simply stopped going through him & he was getting called for very ticky tack fouls from the refs... i don't understand how you expect him to maintain his aggressive play when he's not getting the ball & the refs are calling fouls on him everytime he makes contact w/an opposing player.
That is the exact opposite of what I am doing. You are looking at his first half and saying: "good game!" I am saying "good game, should have been a great game". Or: "Great half game!".
The game as a whole was a tale of two halves. The second half for Curry was mediocre at best. That is looking at the game as a whole.
I am not questioning his effort, but his aggressiveness. We can blame everybody else, or we can ask why he doesn't crash the boards and get his rebounds and buckets instead of waiting to be fed again and again, and frankly I would prefer that he gets his offense more from scrapping rather than being a featured post player. Crashing and scrapping, that is how I expect him to maintain his aggressiveness.
I think you think that I am unhappy with his performance. To the contrary, I am very happy with it, but when he disappears, it is not wrong to say so.
Even Q made a bad play last night (He did not start out good, letting Miller bang 3 3's without getting up on him and putting a hand in his face.), but since he maintained his level of play throughout the game, there isn't much to point out.
Is your point that since Curry had a good game it is unfair to say anything that is not an accolade?
