i'd rather have KMart... he'd fit in alot better w/what the Knicks are trying to do here... they want to run an uptempo style offense, much like what the Nets were running when KMart was running circles around KT & Othella during his days w/the Nets... i know he's not what he used to be, but his style of game is best suited for that run & gun style... Boozer's better for a halfcourt style.
I prefer Kmart's D and fire, but man does he have an ugly contract. 5 years and I think the 5th is for almost $17 M. He's also the bigger injury risk (especially when you factor in the contract). I'd do Francis for Kmart (and hopefully we get something else tossed in for relieving them of the big money/long length contract. But I don't think Dolan would go for the extra $$$. A plus is that Kmart already knows the NY scene. Curry & Kmart with Frye backing up both slots. Looks good to me (if the medical reports clear Kmart enough).
The case for Boozer over Kmart is mostly:
younger, healthier (marginally), a smaller contract that runs one year less.
Boozer a better boarder and scorer, but worse defense and alot less fire.
