Out of these available Free Agents - who would you take in place of Mcdyess?

R. Gomes (boston)
B. Jackson (nok)
T. Outlaw (Blazers)
D. Lee (Knicks)

I really like the amount of rebounds lee has been grabbing... in such limited minutes.. and you know hes gunna play a lot this year...

to me, Lee and Gomes are comparable.

Outlaw is a long shot to be really productive and Bobby Jax is a scoring guard off the bench behind Chris Paul. He also hasn't been healthy for a couple years now.

I would take Gomes, but if you go with Lee, that's OK. Gomes might get a little more points though. He played real good last year.

ok so i made a HUGE trade... tell me what you guys think...

Tmac + Terry + Curry

for

Arenas + Josh Smith + David West

so now my team is:

Arenas
Josh Smith
Gerald Wallace
Brand
Dalembert
David West
Tony Parker
Rudy Gay
DWilliams
MarvWilliams
AMcdyess
LBarbosa

I think i got a huge pickup.. my team might be a little more unballenced now - but i think i have more chips to trade... i could get rid of Josh Smith or Gerald Wallace for a big time 2g shooter.... and then its not even fair... thoughts?

Wilcox hasn't been playing all that well in pre-season. Marvin Williams hasn't really been killing it either. You need the center option so it would make sense. In Atlanta no telling how those minutes will look.

With Bogut out a short term answer is Dan Gadzuric

Both guys are unproven. You really won't get quality for them, IMO. I still think having both those guys on the roster is a minor mistake. Neither one will produce enough to warrant all this love you show them, IMHO.

u could be right.. the question is - do you wait for them to pan out? raise in value and then trade? or try to trade now when they have the "potential" value...

If this is a keeper league it is different. But if it isn't, you have to look at past (alot of these tweener guys come out and are average at very best at a position where there are alot of average guys), plus their role on the team. Personally I think that Marvin this season is probably better for all around numbers but Atlanta has alot of scorers so he may not get the touches you expect.

With Pau out, Gay may get significant time, but not many guys out the gate are really well rounded. Gay will probably score more than Marvin(at least at the begining of the season with the big gun out), but his numbers won't be as well rounded. Gay is a little undersized and is on a rebuilding team that normally goes 10, 11, 12 guys deep. Which means not as many productive minutes.

i have a better feeilng about Gay - he sneaks in those blocks, steals, 3s... he seems to fill the box score nicely.. even tho its thin everywhere.. its something everywhere.. Marvin is kind of a tossup.. i dont know what to epect from him but im hearin all these good things so who knows

It's a good call, then because you know what your team needs beter than I do in your league, I malways fall back on guys that will fill a couple stas.

I just am skeptical about anyone on the Grizz other than Gasol and possibly Stoudemire because Gasol is a star and Damon is the only real PG they have after losing BJax. To me, the deeper the team's rotation the less minutes, and the less minutes the less production.

I really don't think one is much of a dropoff than the other, I think the main problem is you have both of them.

Sad 2. Wilcox has higher potential, but Nazr is more solid. I'd probably go after Nazr because I know I'll get numbers all season. Wilcox hasn't played above 70 games in a season until last year (77). The Sonics do have big plans for him though.

Bottom line. Nazr is more solid, Wilcox has a higher ceiling. You need numbers from your C spot. If you had a reliable center, I would tell you to take a chance on Wilcox.
