You can't have it both ways because when the Knicks were winning the other games playing against other teams scrubs and main players out with inury no one would really acknowledge this. Also those 2 guys played 4 and 5min respectively and can't be held responsible as to why the Celtics built a 27pt halftime lead. Shouldn't the Knicks be a little more comfortable in Zeke's new offense that gives them more freedom. Why is there confusion, this offense is so much better for them. I'm not suprised at all with the results from this game it's pretty much what I expected.

Well, I never make a big deal about preseason games so you are talking to the wrong person about that.

Thing is, you can't just look at it one way. Yes, the Celtics have Pierce in this game. However, we don't have Francis. We played our scrubs in the first quarter, they didn't.

I'm not making excuses or anything, just saying that you have to consider all factors if you want to play that game.

I've seen a bunch of things that I haven't liked tonight, but in that last Celtics-Knicks game I saw a lot of things that I liked. With that said, I don't get too positive/negative because it is preseason. You can't place too much importance on preseason.

Celtics went from a 6 pts lead to a 18 pts lead with Clarke,Brown and Collins in the game, with Lee manning the post...If you want to draw conclusions from that well go right ahead...

That said the first unit is out of sync...

Am not getting the game, unfortunately. However I am noticing this is the first time in all 4 games we had a team's top player play-and we are getting killed. Pierce has been to the line 8 times and has 18 points and 4 boards in the third.

N0w I am only looking at the box score but it doesn't look like any of the guys are having off games-They all look pretty par for the course except Craw. Frye 's missing alot of shots apparently (2-7) so I am not sure exactly why, they really have noone who cand defend him.

Overall I agree with you, but at the same time I see the same negative traits that exist today as in the previous other preseason games. Today there is a healthy team to actually capatilize on it. Not having Steve is a joke of an excuse because they didn't have him available in one of the other games and they won.

My final thoughts on Preseason games......they are a joke. For all the fans that went Skitzo in the previous 3, they got royally owned today.

This team still isn't good, not too much better than last yr.

...that this claim is a non-sequitur. You can't say in one breath that preseason results are meaningless, and in the next say that the preseason result of one game indicates that the Knicks are no better than last year. It seems you are sacrificing logical consistency in order to argue for your pre-existing view. Which means that your arguments are about as meaningful as a preseason game.

SeatsBlue what exactly is your problem? I can see that you just have an agenda to dog this team any chance you get. Are you gonna be here after ever loss this year to remind us that this team is no good? I mean really. We all know it's preseason. No one was making too much of what the games meant. All we did was note that the team was playing differently and for the most part better, but it's still gonna take time for this team to jell and master this new offense.

I couldn't see the game but the one thing that stands out is 32 turnovers. yikes!

I see Eddy got 5 by himself. Someone mentioned a bad pass, so I'll assume that was one and the rest were offensive fouls? And 4 each from our backcourt of Marbury, Crawford and Nate.

Well, I wont make too much of pre-season one way or another, but those are last years numbers of TOs. I attributed most of last years to guys giving up. I'm gonna attribute these to learning a new system. But sooner then later those TOs gotta come down if we're gonna have a chance.

No agenda? Hmmmm. I really don't know if I can take you seriously when you say that. Why else would you use this game as some example that all is doomed, when CLEARLY this game was even more of a preseason, let me see what i've got on the bench, type of game than the others were.

You see it's not the fact that we won those other Preseason games that got people excited, it was the flow and execution of the team. The WAY that they were playing that people liked. We need to see this team passing and moving without the ball more. Not dribbling on a fastbreak, but making accurate long passes. We know it's only preseason, but the point is to start to show the signs that this group is gonna play as a team and unselfishly. So far I think we see some of those signs. Isiah already knows what he has with regard to some of the more important players. So if he wants to get a look at some different players or different combinations etc. This is the time to do that.

Boston is in a much different situation. They had to play this game a bit differently, cuz they have to get their key players on the court so they can jell. Guys have been hurt and they've got to start getting ready for the season.

Dude seriously give it a rest with your homerism. I watched the game for one and yes the C's built somewhat of a lead when Zeke put in some scrubs for a blink of an eye. They built a lead from 6-15 but hey this happens all the time in the NBA whenever regular bench players are subbed in. Let's look at this box score objectively shall we?

As you can see the main starters and 6th man played practically 30min tonight, therefore they blew this game plain and simple. The 5 scrubs that played totaled a whopping 40min collectively. If you do the math on that it's about 8min per scrub out of 48min total in a game. Most of them received their minutes in garbage time which was about the 8min mark left in the 4rth qrt.

Total number of ast=14ast to a total of 31TO's
