when I was in high school I used to work at a pet store, although 2/3 of the store was saltwater and tropical fish. I used to fill my bed room with so many tanks the windows always had condensation on them and my mother had concerns about the floors giving out.

Also there were like 3 Mikes (imagine that) in my gang so someone dubbed me fishmike. It just stuck.

Yea.. I still have fish, although married life and overall domestication has me down to 1 tank

hahaha...someone (I think it was Marv) at opening night said its fishmike because you can drink like a fish!!

well I can... its the McBlood in me, part of the reason I dont anymore. People like me better sober (especially the police, my family, my neighbor's bushes, etc etc)

Great Post - I've always wondered what some of your screen names meant I think mine is pretty self-explanatory and just in case it isn't I LOVED SPREWELL!! He was one of my favorite Knicks during that period.
NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.

My name is derived from my love of basketball (i.e. love of "the game"), and my delusional belief that I had game on the court back in the day when I played basketball for 2-4 hours everyday.

This is a great post. It is interesting seeing why some people chose their name.

I used to read a lot of scifi stuff and loved shadowrun novels. Dodger was my favorit character. I was born in 1978.

At the time, people called me Killa. I was big on Che Guevara at the time. I was then and am still a marxist. Killa4luv seemed more appropriate than just plain Killa. At this point, the idea of calling myself a killa 4 anything, seems totally inapropriate. But thats how I got the name. And my friends do still call me killa. And no, I have never killed anyone...........but don't push me.

Swishfm3... Swish from 3. "Swish" was a name that was given to me because everytime I shot the ball from behind the arc,and hit, I would make that sound....after a while people on the court starting calling me that. When I joined the NY DAILYNEWS Forum (when they had one) I added the "fm3". and thus a legend was born. lol

when i was a kid, i was a HUGE transformer fan. my favorite one was jazz voiced by the late and great scatman crothers. so i use this name for nostalgic purposes.

Goddaughter had a hard time pronouncing my name when she was learning to speak. So she started to call me Bippity. Which is actually harder to say and sounds nothing like my actual name. The 10 was my uniform number at the time when I first started going to these forums. Now I travel around to coach clinics and see youth leagues. And I see little boys and girls running around with the number 10 in honor of my basketball/posting ability. It makes me want to cry with joy.
I just hope that people will like me

Sugar Ray was a pretty exciting player so why not? He is one of my 10 all time favorite Knicks.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg
