What do you think will get a better response from Allanfan and our teammates

Quote 1: "I dont' know what to do. I keep making great plays because I'm the league's best point guard. I'm making pinpoint passes, hitting Allanfan in the chest and he just can't make the shots. How do you expect me to be great if he's not good enough to make shots. I'm all alone here"

Quote 2: "We'll work on it in practice until that shot becomes Allanfan's bread and butter. He's not making the shots right now but I have full confidence that Allanfan will work hard to improve that shot. In the meantime I'm going to keep kicking it out to him because he is one of the keys to our team"

Both comments are true. Comment one probably is closer to my true feelings. But as a leader and as someone Allanfan20 looks up to, quote two helps him(especially if I actually do work with him) and quote one does nothing but hurt his confidence more.

Now marbs has never used either of these quotes. But you understand the point.



I would expect a response more along the lines of this:

"I know I shouldn't be passing the ball to that scrub Allanfan, but I feel bad for the dude. TMS is clearly the best player on our team, so maybe I'll try passing the ball to him more often. Yeah, that's the ticket."

Wait wait, I feel a little underappreciated, so let me give a change of scenario. Allanfan struggles shooting but plays defense and rebounds a little and passes well. Starbippity complains about Allanfan throwing away his assists and TMS complains about not getting touches b/c of the great Allanfan20. Allanfan gets run out of town by being traded to New Orleans where he finds his shot with lots of practice and thrives and is an integral part of a championship team, meanwhile TMS and StarBippity continue to plummet into the abyss.

That's the real scenario!!!!!!!!

it won't be long before StarBippity is complaining in the media about the system being run by head coach martin saying it doesn't take advantage of his skills, & starts to point fingers at TMS for not rotating on his man after he gets beat off the dribble... StarBippity then finds himself traded to fishmike's team & languishes in last place for the rest of his career... meanwhile TMS goes on to win an NBA title w/his teammates, Solace, Nalod, Marv & gunsewing, & they have a ticker tape parade down the Canyon of Heroes.

Is my Jersey selling? Is my sneaker a selling? Did I make the all-star game four years ago? I don't have anything to prove to anyone. Winning? That's just something that the tv pundits talk about. What's important is that I feed my family. And guess what regardless of what team I'm on, I'M GETTING PAID!

People just like to place the blame on me when things go wrong. But I'm a man now. All I'm saying is I'll be a team player this year, but if I'm not starting next year there are going to be problems. Ooops, sorry tripped over a $100. Back to my point. The only reason we aren't winning right now is because of our system, Allanfan not being able to hit shots, but next year when I'm starting we will be winning again. As long as the system is to my liking. So TMS, Allanfan enjoy your championships. Good luck trying to find what's really important.
