How about Bogut getting time over Magloire? Chris Paul getting time over Speedy Claxon? You'll notice that when Antonio Davis went to Toronto he didn't start over Charlie Villenueva.

Those are great examples too. It's absurd to think you should start lazy bums over hard working superior young players just because the young ones are young. I think Larry Brown has too many screen names on this forum!

It's not just Brown. It's almost every single coach in the NBA.

How is that a great example? I mean he did name rookies, so I guess we'll give him points for that.

AD and rose are lazy bums? They fit into the rebounding/defense first mentality of LB. They made up for the siv that are out SG/PG combo's and helped Curry for his weaknesses.

That's why you use quote, so you can keep an accurate record of what the person said before.

Mo Taylor is undeniably a lazy bum. I don't mind having Malik around for team spirit and stuff, but he shouldn't play. And AD was godawful and he wasn't really hustling in NY. He had the worst plus/minus in the entire league before the January winstreak (to be fair, he did appear to be trying more in early January...)

Point is, nothing, nothing, warranted Malik, AD and certainly MoT to be playing over DLee and Frye.

Yeah, sorry about that...I read the lazy part after I posted the response, they weren't lazy, they were just bumbs, then I rethought even entering this argument because I have no opinion really on MPG as much as roles. I didn't even think MoT was that lazy as he seemed to hustle out there as much as his out of shape body could and he always hit that open jumper...I feel he's a good back up for Frye's game as they play the same style.

So, that's what was there.

No biggy.

Magloire started next to Bogut.

Lazy bums: Mo T, JJ, Eddy Curry
Incompetent bums: AD, Malik

I can agree with you on MoT, but JJ and Curry? Curry HAS to play, just no way around it. You don't give away 2 consequtive first rounders to sit a guy. JJ? He didn't play enough to really say he took minutes away, and again, you really have to try to give him some minutes for the contact that he just got.

If AD/Malik don't play, who plays D? How directs the D?

JJ played almost 500 minutes. Curry has to learn to get in shape and play hard. Maybe he'd play harder if he knew he had to. I'm not sure you *have* to play anyone but you definitely don't have to start someone and play him around 35 minutes (when he's not in foul trouble).

Curry averaged 25 minutes a game and JJ had 44 games at 9 minutes a clip. They weren't stealing anyones minutes.

You mean no one else would have been allowed on the court instead of them? We'd have to play 4 on 5?! Wow
