ah yes... i remember that guy.

Isiah Lord Thomas.........Yeah I said it

He was definitely my idol growing being that I was small and ran the point on all the teams I played for.

Kenny Anderson was a close second.

Another vote for Ewing and Taylor. Honorable mentions to Mo Rivera, Jesse Armstead, Paul O'Neill and Tiki Barber.

The way Chang played epitomized what is great in sports.

He never let his size or physical limitations affect the way he approached tennis. Gave 100% at all times and produced upsets through sheer determination and will power.
The type of player you love to root for.

Jason Stoltenberg, on his toughest opponent: "I don't think I fear any player, but if I can think of a player who's given me the hardest time, it's probably Chang. He doesn't give you any breathing time. He puts so much pressure on you. He never says die. You can have him down and he'll come back and fight to the end." (Nov, 1996)

Well' it's kind of hard to pick 'one' so I'll pick a team:

Babe Ruth - How could anyone top this guy?!
Jim Thorpe - One of the greatest 'under-mentioned' athletes of all-time!
Don Mattingly - The best hitter 'I' ever saw in my life.
Darryle Strawberry - If he stayed clean, he would have been one of the all-time greats, and a clutch bat if ever there was one!
Ron Guidry - A great 'high fast ball-strike out' pitcher, my idol and 'handle' 4949!
Rocky Marciano - Undefeated means something.
Derek Jeter - My favorite clutch hitter since Mattingly.
Bernie Williams - A few of the last great Yankees.
Magic Johnson - Best floor general I ever saw play the game.
Kareem Abdul Jabaar - That sky hook was unbelievable!! He could shoot that thing from 30 feet away. Unstoppable!
James Worthy - Great running-dribbling fast break trio I ever saw.
Isiah Thomas - Best small man I ever seen play amongst the trees. Man could he shoot!
Mickey Mantle - How could anyone doubt the Mick?!
Dr. J - Quiet, but his acrobatics were a lot of fun to watch. I never missed a game, when ever Philly played National T.V.
Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez - Clutch! Very cool dude in person (just don't disturb him while he's talking to Mom)
Bernard King - Pure hustle, never gave up on a ball or a play. I wish we had Knicks like that. They should study him, class act!
Brett Farve - Tough!
Mike Richter - I still love the guy for that save and bringing us the torphy, after 54 years of suffering.
Paul O'Neal - I can only think of one word: Guts!

that's when Chief Jay Strongbow would go into his wardance inside the ring & he'd keep hip checking the guy he was fighting... it was his patented move.

Patrick Ewing, although Starks is my favorite Knick. Favorite Yankee is Lou Pinella. Favorite Giant is Phil Simms. Favorite moments in sports Bucky Dent's homer after the foul tip off his ankle, L.J's four point play, and when Xavier chest bumped John Starks in the playoffs and Starks later said, "That hurt a bit." I can't remember a chest bump prior to that.

It's not really you T, it's the guy who used to do it. Let's not go into it, just thought you'd like to know.

hey man, i don't mean anything by it, you know that bro... it's all just entertainment anyway... sorta like that stupid stereotypical Mr. Fuji & Mr. Saito bit they used to do... not exactly flattering to us Asians.

It's cool my man! The way I look at the races is 'learn something and then move on'!
