The fact that Channing has never called out a coach before (ok...he only had one so this really doesn't have ALOT of clout, bro)just strengthens the case that it is way out of character for him to do that. It strengthens the fact that it makes no sense for him to just make LB the first coach he did that to. Channing looks like a smart, intelligent, student of the game type of guy, I doubt seriously that he comes out and says what he said without knowing he had some type of backing.
Well, why did Channing go and do something so out of character for such an upstanding kid? OK, maybe he was told to do so by Dolan & co., it's possible. Of course, it's just as possible that Brown's philosophy with the team last year was just so incredibly incoherent to the players that Channing was flaberghasted, disoriented, and whatever else that he was compelled to make these comments.
I'm not interested in pushing either case. I just think it should be pointed out that the mere fact that Channing made some quotes in the paper that seem out of character doesn't, by itself, justify us in concluding some of the conclusions that people are trying to draw.
