How can ANYONE who is a TRUE Knicks fan

I do not mean to be singling you out, nixluva, but can we just stop using this stupid statement when it comes to both sides of this argument at the very least. If we are on this board we are obviously true Knicks fans, whatever the opinion is on how they should be run.

I don't mean to be preachy but almost every post about the LB/Isiah thing has a line to this effect in it, and it just starts getting annoyig after a while, and to me anyway, it doesn't do aything but make whatever poster use it sound the least bit pompous.

I think Larry was told some things that didnt happen, or didnt happen fast enough when he was hired. When they didnt happen he started his antics which merited him being fired.

yep.

offering Jerome James for actual basketball players was likely in LB's mind non-committal.

the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

I see this as an excuse for LB. What was he told that didn't happen? I honestly believe that Dolan and Isiah knew they needed him and his credibility to turn this thing around. I think they were committed to doing whatever he wanted to make that happen. I think he became totally unrealistic with his demands, combined with his season-long craziness and francis and Jalen became the last straws.

The presentation made by Dolan and Thomas was startling in its content and breadth. The Garden environment under Dolan is tightly controlled and intensely secretive. It is extremely rare for officials to divulge private discussions — even off the record — and rarer still for them to go public with a detailed critique of a high-ranking employee. That they did so in this case speaks to the extent of their frustrations with Brown.

No they just made all of this up because Brown really did a great job this year.

No, they made it up, because whatever you believe about Brown he was a failure in his one season here. And they gave him $50 mil to do it. And the way it turned out it is the biggest fck up in Knicks history.

One things that's strange...if LB was doing this going to other GMs with trades, how did they put up with it for so long? I mean it would be embarassing to Isiah the first time, I can't see how he would have let it happen again and again..

well... whats LB's credibility? I said when he was hired that Isiah signed Larry to clean up his mess.

Just think about it. Do you think they told Larry that if he came aboard he had to be a good little soldier? They payed him more than any other coach in sports. You going to tell me they didnt promise Larry input and control over roster moves? What trades were made after training camp? They got Matt Barnes. Its so obvious they told Larry things were going to be one way and they turned out another. So obvious. Everyone sees this. I can see Jalen Rose. Rose is a scorer but he's also a passer and he showed that in his first game. The whole roster is guys that pound the ball. Jalen moves it and sets guys up. OK... I will give you that. But Steve Francis? Nobody in their right mind can believe LB wanted this guy.

People can believe what they want, but Isiah and Dolan bit off more than they could chew w/ Brown. They picked a guy to bring credibility and stability, paid him to be a good little soldier but they signed the wrong guy. You know they told Larry "what ever you need to win we will give you." And that apparently was QWoods and Matt Barnes for 3 months. Then it backfired when old grouchy started his moaning and antics.

This is just another situation that Isiah and Dolan screwed up. This is why Chaney and Wilkins who did conduct themselves like proffesionals trashed the organization. This is why players with good reputations for hard work and conduct like McDyess, Mutumbo, Kurt, Nazr, Antonio Davis and Shandon Anderson all trashed Isiah after leaving. The list is long and distinguished.

I am down with what you are thinking and maybe Brown knew he was out or at least knew he couldn't work under those coniditions and said yes to the Francis deal as one last f-you to Dolan. Could be that he wanted Francis but only if it were for Marb and then they put in Penny at the last second or couldn't get Francis for Marbury and used Penny as a last resort thinking it was a good enough substitute.

I am wondering whom will Dolan fire after Isaih will be fired...
I hope he will fire himself...
This will be the best move he did ever for the Knicks...
