We know one thing. Larry was a considered a great coach before he came here, but even his allies say he coached horribly this year. The question is why.

I thought one of the tabloids quoted Dolan as saying that Larry dealt only with Isiah regarding deals. Did anyone else see this? The reason that I say this is because Isiah said that Larry approached Dolan about Francis and Rose. When he said this he was looking at Dolan not Al.

Isiah b asically blamed larry brown for the steve francis and jalen rose trades... he pretty much said he diddnt want to make them but did it for him and now they r screwed lol

they're pinning jalen and francis completely on lb.

"we probably shouldn't have traded for jalen and francis" - that's gonna inspire them.

i guess they're the first two dealt this summer. which means more payroll coming back.

My hate for the two faced piece of dung that is Larry Brown just grew even more. I truly believe he mailed it in as a power play to belome GM & turn over the roster.

I also believe it bit him in the butt.

I think the players will play hard for IT. I think 40 wins is quite possible. And despite being a huge Knick fan, my motivation for rooting like hell for a playoff appearance & more importantly > hope, is the fact that it will make LB look worse. He's the biggest villian in this mess.

You know I can fault Jim Dolan and Isiah for bringing on some of the players they did and for picking Larry Brown- I don't see them lying about this.

If there was any chance they could have worked out things with Larry, they would have- the last thing they would want to do is be at risk for having to pay off $40m.

I think Larry's rep as being a primma donna, just like Stephon, are reflective of a serious problem. This isn't something that happened over this season, its been his track record that he wears out welcomes and moves on- that was one of the reasons I didn't want him.

Exactly. Isiah said he knew they needed LB. I believe that. "We wanted to do whatever coach was asking us to do, within reason"

And all of you LB lovers were screaming about how Zeke should get LB the players he asks for, but when he does that, you blame him for getting the players he asked for. To love LB you've got to talk out of both sides of your mouth too.

i dont think jimmy D is going to fire Isiah unless hll breaks lose, that was smoke.

i do think jimmy better lose some weight because he was breathing heavy while he was talking

what the hll was on top of isiahs eye? looked like he was clocked

i do hope that larry gets stiffed for his pay. to many people work so hard in this world and this guy has the cahones to break rules while making 10mm per?

This whole thing about LB looking to make trades is beyond asinine. How do you make trades when you don't have the power to make them? All coaches talk to people they know on other teams about personnel. It's absolutely ridiculous that another GM would say that they had a better offer from LB when he's not even authorized to make deals.

Saying that LB went to them and begged for Jalen Rose and Steve Francis doesn't even pass the laugh test. But I see some of you are so gullible that you're going to believe it completely when it makes no sense at all.

Isiah is such a ****ing liar. Him saying that they were about to lose 50-60 million in payroll until LB basically forced Rose and Francis on them is an absolute joke.

How do you people even accept that as the truth???

With Brown's stature, its totally believable that they would believe that he has the authority to make those kinds of decisions.
