LEbron, Carmelo were all very young and stupid then.
With that team on paper we should have destroyed everyone.
We only had one point guard on that team. Yeah, we know.
Remember Steph talking about his preparation and his shooting slump? NO, he lifts in the off season and does not shoot. He was ill prepared for the competition.
Larry asked the team to play defense, they were not happy about summer school.
Remember the whiners who did not go cuz they were scared? So Isiah begged Steph on the team.
We lost? Why, cuz diva attidude.
Hey, if some of you like divaball, be my guest. Im gone if it continues. Im wathing tonite. no divas. Steph year after year long on vacation by mid june!
BUt lets bring in more coaches! Im sure its all the coaches fault. 5 coache in 6 years. Yeah, its larrys fault.
This is probably the most ridculous post I seen in awhile. Lebron, Anthony were stupid then but 2 months later they became smart. omg. "It's a miracle!" I guess the stupid factor was running amock over there. Did Duncan also turned stupid for that month too.
Kinda like the argument that Larry Brown was a Hall of Fame coach coming off of 2 straight trips to the Finals with one Championship but less than a year later he's forgotten how to coach.
Well if he didn't forget then that means he did it on PURPOSE and that's FAR WORSE!!! See you can't have it both ways. I'd like to see an explanation for all the strange crap he did this year that no respectable coach should've done. Face it he messed up this year and he made a power play and lost, so now he has to suffer for it.
I guess the players he had in Detroit were the same as what he's had to work with in NY.
Sure, let's just take the players out of the equation because the majority of them sure looked like they put the effort and selflessness into last season like they haven't done in their entire pitiful careers.
It's amazing how some of you still don't get it. NOBODY could have won with this sorry collection of players. Could LB have taken the shortsighted view and maximized this group for 30-35 wins? You're damn right he could have. But he knew that's not why he was brought here. He was brought here to build this team into a contender and to do that he needed to find out who had the physical (committment to defense) and mental (toughness) makeup to play for him.
It was a weeding out process but now he's not even going to get an offseason to follow through on his evaluations because the Knicks Mismanagement thinks its easier to get rid of the coach than it is to correct the major roster issues that Isiah has created over the last 2 1/2 years. That's just brilliant.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System
