boy, Patrick O'Bryant is really being overrated

I don't think he's much more than Dan Gadzuric or UCLA prospect Ryan Hollins & maybe not even that (he tested very poorly re: athletic testing). He certainly doesn't have:

a) an NBA ready body re: stregth
b) a decent skill level

dj, mck1 and I all actually agree on something - either there will be a solar eclipse, dolan will have a heart attack or the world will end. these are really the only options.

I'm hesitant to trade Nate because watching these playoffs, one of the players on the current squad who I think would excel in that environment is Nate. I think he's made for the playoffs. I think he's made for the new rules. I think he can start and be unguardable with the new rules. He's got a defensive mentality, he's infectious, he's a winner. I don't think you trade Nate.

If we could somehow get to 10.. that would be special.. I would do 10 Million + pick 20 .. for that. Pick up Foye to pair with Crawford and Nate for the future.. or.. if somehow Patrick O'Bryant falls.. you take him to pair with Frye.
Having Foye/Nate/Crawford for the Future would be great.

THe thing I hope is that when the rumore says they want an Second round pick this year, they want to spend as little money as possible on a pick this year which means they won't want any of the million dollar first round picks.

And the teams with Second round picks in this draft either be too good to give a soild pick next season(Clippers/Rockets/Minnesota) or won't give their pick because it will be too good(Portland,Altanta,Toronto). So they won't be albe to get an high second rounder and a soild pick next year from those teams. If this is true, I would think the knicks have as good an shoot as any other team that could give an low monetary comment pick this year and promise an soild pick next seaon(between the knicks and the bulls).

Damn..... much more????? I don't know why I don't see this Lowery Love. I watched the BigEast all season and I never thought about this LOwery.

I agree about your N8 point though.

my only concern with taking Lowry is that we'd be extremely small in the back court and we'd need some length and shotblocking at SF and PF.

I'm also assuming we ship Marbury or Francis.

the thing that scares me about Foye is he was recently a 39% shooter. he's good, but I'm wary of him for some reason. I think size for him in the league could be a problem, where Lowry is going to play the exact same position he played in school.

I'm not trading Nate, either. He's a difference maker.

I'm a Foye fan but moving up seems a longshot.

If Isiah can trade the 29 for a couple 2nds

Lowry at 20

Marquinhos or James White and Batista in the 2nd round would be good dealings IMO.

huge difference between the two players. Foye has that 6-3/6-4 215is muscular athletic build that stands out and makes him a top 10 pick. He also a guy who Villanova leaned on to much offensively at times, but in the nBA I see him in that 17-5-5 bracket--i dont think Lowry is anywhere capable of that. I saw him eat up Uconn and the next game as Uconn adjusted to him with size which really bothered him. hes suspect offensively and small maybe 6-0 his handle is good not great whilehe does have increible speed and quckness, i see him having trouble finishing in the NBA where the arms and bodies are longer stronger and faster

I am a fan of O'Bryant but at this point, I believe he is seriously being overrated. The stock of big men coming out of college is just so horrible. It's like trying to find a diamond ring in a garbage heap. You jump on anything that sparkles.

Ok, we've done this with Curry, so why not with Nate?
If Nate was in this draft, where does he go? I doubt as
high as #10. Highly doubt it.

would i move from 20-10 for 3mm bucks? let me see last year the difference is andrew bynum vs julius hodge

Briggs, who would you target at 10? Brewer? sounds like the Sonics will keep the pick if Shelden is available. I don't think it's possible to do this trade with the Sonics until they are assured Atlanta is takign Shelden.

if i had any chance at marcus Williams, id take him
