As of now, jay williams is better than Marbury even with the injury.. why, cause he won't have intentions of killing a team's season..
He won;t be thinking about himself and not team and would never declare himself best point guard in the NBA..
lastly, he won't come up to the media and saying he don't care what coach says.
You have to look at Jay Williams the way Hurly was looked at when he came back...meaning expect nothing from this guy...there is no way the Knicks go into next year with this guy as having prominent role on this team....If it turns out he can play on this level again, it's gravy..But right now, I just don't see think guy having any impact again in this league...But I guess we can hope....Basketball is a different sport, it's difficult playing hurt...everything has to be just right physically for you to be successful..It would just be amazing to see this guy again after it was said he might not walk again to take his game back to the NBA level...The Odds are not in favor os this happening....
same with Starbury, if he ends up with a different team next yr, he no longer will be the 20 and 8 player he once was.. credibility would be shot and pretty much his career.
At least for Jay W., it's because of injuries.. FOr Marbury, it will be reputation.. he is going to be 30 next yr..
no longer the young promising point guard he was thought to be..

Huh?!, the guy was 16 and 6 under Brown who pratically had chains on the guy with 45 different lineups and not one guy who can know down a consistant jumper...What makes you think he can't score 20 pts and dish 8 assist when he hasn't lost a step....Come on bro, it's one thing to hate him, it's another thing to deny his skills...
it's not about b-ball skills bro. it's also about being a leader, team player and playing both sides of the floor consistently. He's the capt of his squad but clearly doesn't know how to take a leadership role..
In order to play consistenly and the right way, you must make sacrifices..
MArbury clearly does not want to do that.. All he wants to do is score @ will.. He's not a team player..
HE may be a offensive power but his defense is pathetic.. Go look in the stats sheet and tell me when was the last time he got a double- double?? assists/rebounds or rebounds/points. Some of his teamamtes aren't too fond of him either
Ok humor me, what do you see to suggest that he is not a team player on the court...How many shots a game does he take...Outside of what he says, What do you see in games, do you see him not hitting the open guy, do you se him chucking up 20 shots a game..how many times have you seen Marbs hit a wide open guy to have him miss the shot...how many times??
Bro on Larry Brwon teams, individual stats usually suffer, he has had a few double doubles this year...But thats what how you should judge Marbs..Did he do what Brown ask him to do and the answer is yes...he defense could be better...but you know, the energy this guy expends on the offensive end trying to get teammates open looks, I just can't see a guy like that expending the same energy on defense and be able to play 82 games...I mean lets be honest...
