Yeah, that NCAA don't count. Nor all those trip to conf. finals, finals, what not.

They are 1 game ahead of Dallas for the best record.

Rashweed was cap fodder. He was a distruptive force in Portland and was exiled. He was a malcontent before he joined the Pistons!

It was a great tradefor Detroit. Rashweed Respected his new teammates and coach and became an excellent part of a championship team.

Look up how few coaches have won championships. Hell, Between Riles, Jax and Auerback thats 22 right there!

They were 17-13 to start. What does that tell you? THEY WERE GETTING USED TO PLAYING A DIFFERENT WAY! Sound familiar?

ITs about the playoffs by the way.

Im not taking a thing away from flip, but lets be real, take a champoinship core team and give them a good coach they should do well. And flip said there were not going to change too much. The team is still good for a lot of reasons, one is having had good coaching not, and before.

Detroit is know for its tough defense. Flip is not. Larry is. Where did it come from?

Was Billips an allstar? Not under Carlisle. Not under flip the first time. But with Larry he did.

No the NCAA tourney doesn't count...Getting a team to the finals and does not make you a great coach..Look at Byron Scott..Sheed was cap fodder? He was and always has been one of the better power forwards in this game..Disruptive force?....He got alot of techs Portland and still lead the league in techs...He has always been a great team first player, Larry didn't have anything to do with his development..He is the same guy now that he always has been...The difference is winning...Now people have other things to talk about, not only his technical fouls...That team wins nothing under Brown without Sheed..

Never said he was a dope smoking ultra idiot on the pistons, nor did larry "develope him. I said He respected the team and its coach and got on board.

Bye Ron Scott is one example your right. But he did not win a championship now did he?

A lot of techs in portland is a bit of an understatement. He leads the league this year, with 15? He was on a rampage in portland and they were a bit distruptive.

Im not disputing Sheeds contribution to the team. But your thinking Larry was not influential. Championship winning coaches are that causual to you? Ok then.

Ncaa don't count? Ok. Count how many other coaches won both an NBA championship and a Ncaa. Larry, Larry, Larry and Larry.

April 17, 2006 -- AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - Pistons owner Bill Davidson smiled broadly and said "no comment" when asked about Larry Brown not showing up at The Palace for yesterday's match.

Davidson looked like the smartest guy on the planet yesterday as his Pistons rang up their franchise-record 64th victory. Pressing the Knicks into early turnovers, the Pistons took a 34-9 lead after eight minutes and beat the Knicks in a misleading 103-97 final count.

Davidson, partly concerned about Brown's health, let the coach go after two straight NBA Finals appearances. Now Brown's Knicks are on course to set a franchise record for losses in an 82-game season with 60. The Knicks (22-58) also are fighting Charlotte and Portland for the league's worst record.

I couldn't resist doing this, especially after reading how the Larry lovers mercilessly pounded Curry's 20 and 10 effort...

Its better when the knicks win.

Wouldn't you rather be a "Larry Lover" than be right?

Your becomming "Islesfan" whom has lost his way. When its better to be right than win then your at conflict.

So true my man....I'll be rooting for him all over again next year if he is still at the helm...I just think he screwed this team royally this year....

I resent that.

Do you support people who do their job poorly and hope that they'll do better or do you hope that they get replaced by a more capable person who is a lot more likely to do a better job?

Seems that we keep replacing people with better people and it keeps getting worse.
