unless you think there aren't ANY other players in the NBA better than Channing Frye, then he's not an "untouchable"

only players i'm trading frye for are not available (kobe, duncan, amare, dwight, lebron, melo, bosh)

that pretty much makes him untouchable in my eyes.

Ariza is T-Mac.

so is Gerald Green and every other skinny kid who wears ear-rings and can dunk.

what does that have to do with Frye?

same premise.

no it isnt. we're not saying that frye will be as good as kg, and jermaine/shaquielle oneal etc. but those guys are rather old, and it isnt unreasonable to think that we wont be able assemble a roster capable of winning a championship during their windows, thus making it a good idea not to trade frye for them, who has a good chance of becoming a chris bosh caliber player.

I thought Ariza was Marion?

he's not marion, he's magic johnson

Interesting to see how everyone has soured on Frye now, but many were so high on him before.

I'm sure Jason thought that he'd want to be with Joumanna forever at one point.

Things change.

Then why have you been singning the same song for so long?

sheesh, why can't Channing have his own thread without invoking the name of David Lee?

I like Frye

A lot. I'm down with djsu 100 per cent.

He stays, or a plague should befall Isiah Thomas' crib and popcorn empire

Check the Knicks DVD thread. The "haters" are all over that.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

thats not fair... I dont think people have soured on him. What I have maintained all offseason and into this season is that he's a center, and a poor fit next to Curry. Thats been completely true.

I'm not looking to trade him because I've soured on him. I just dont see how he fits long term into this team with Curry here. Frye is not a PF. Hell, the day he was drafted he said "I'm a center."

So if I could trade him for a high pick or a 2/3 wing player that can really defend like Pietrus I think that helps our team.

The big complaint about Frye is he's not in a possition to suceed. He needs to play center. He needs touches around the basket where he can use that nice jump hook.

When was the last time we ran plays for Frye in the post?
When was the last time we ran high post pick and rolls for Frye?

Isiah's offense has turned Frye into a lampost. Stand 18 feet away and launch jumpers.

We can do better than that.

We are commited to Curry and he is the franchise now. So all I'm saying is dont half ass it. Give Eddy and the Knicks what they need to improve.

Because I've known all along that Isiah was incompetent and Frye was soft with a low ceiling.

one thing i just want to bring up, frye had a good game last night...but i don't think it's a coincidence that eddy had foul trouble and played only 30 minutes.

and frye's only real non-jumper was that sweet jump hook post move on dalembert with eddy out of the game.

Ultimate bi-polar dot com!

Everybody has been killing Frye all season, he has a nice game now everyone loves him again.

Like I said, if David Lee ever has a bad 8 game stretch we'll be running him out of town next, making fantasy trades: Lee for Radmanovic....

Let the kids develop. They are good players. If we trade them it better be the Butler/Odom for Shaq style of trade!

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I think the reason other than his strong play last year is the layden syndrome, every kept giving isiah a pass because of how bad things were before, and frye represented a breathe of fresh air last year.....

but the more you watch the kid the more you see that he is very one dimenional, he really is a huge ***** out there he was having trouble posting andre miller, he doesn't seem to ever want the ball he cuts to the basket and doesn't even look for it, runs through the motions....just because he is supposed to be a decoy out there doesn;t mean he should just float out there

Lee wont ever have a bad stretch because his game and production is based on hard work on the floor. Until other teams figure out a way to get him to not play hard (hookers on the road?) Lee wont ever have those kinds of stretchs. Lee doesnt need set plays, a system or certain looks or opponents to produce.

Frye is playing out of position. How long do we have to watch him suck it up before we realize he's not a center? Center in high school, center in 4 years of college, and his NBA #s show he plays well at center and lousy at PF.
