^I don't see any superstar wanting to play with Kobe. Kobe needs the ball way too much.

Exactly. That crossed my mind as I wrote my post and YOU KNOW there is a reason for Phil saying what he said.

All I can say is...

Remember Shaq and how he landed with the Lakers. There was already a "wink wink" deal made with Buss/West and Shaq when he was on Orlando. Think Kupchak/Buss/Jackson are not trying to do the same thing here? And even if Bosh re-signs, they COULD steal one of the other players mentioned or even someone like Josh Howard (less likely I think).

I do. Kobe is the best player in the NBA, or at least in the top two.

Shaq's body is breaking down.

As for a FA wanting to play with Kobe, at least the Lakers are attempting to test that theory by looking to gain cap room, unlike the Knicks, who really only exist to provide cap room for other teams.

Both guys job is to provide secondary scoring in it and thats what they are starting do consistently.

Listen man, there is nothing wrong with hating IT and the moves he made, they have proven to be a bucket of crap so far, but don't try to sell me on smush and Cooke, I watch a ton of lakers game, those two clowns are worthless, believe me, why do you think the lakers want frye? to sit him behind cooke? and if the lakers could replace smush, they would, quickly upgrade that position. those are two replaceable, very average, players, not even worth the discussion. Smush played his way onto the team and is making 800K this season and next. Its not like its a Crawford where NY is in for multi-millions for multiple years.

Why you insist on taking this route with guys like Ridnour, smush, cooke and the likes is confusing,

they are HUMBLE. they work at their CRAFT. they play with a sense of PRIDE.

I know you are better than that man... right?

I actually do like enjoy watching and root for those guys so I guess I'm not better than that.
