more often than not. ie at a higher % rate. Marbury 4 play-offs in 9 years.

Pierce 4 in 7; Marbury 4 in 9. That's a distinction without a difference, especially since 1 of those 4 for Pierce was on a team that was ten games below .500.


You made it sound like Marbury stood out in that group as being on far worse teams when there's a very minimal difference as far as career W-L or % of playoff seasons for all of them (except Brand).

bonn what winning % does 333-422 equate to?

in comparison, what is the actual winning % for the other guys mentioned

You're stuck on the notion that blindly looking at players' W-L records is a good way to evaluate them. But to answer your question:

Marbury: 44%
Pierce: 47%
Francis: 46%
Iverson: 49.8%
Brand: 38%

No matter how you try to frame, re-frame, and re-re-frame the issue, all the players W-L records are pretty similar with a tiny edge going to Iverson and Brand far behind them all.

Interesting rumors about Odom--- the Knicks rejecting an offer based around Odom for Frye? Wow. As good as Frye is (and could be)... this is a deal I'd make in a heartbeat. Odom's a much more skilled all-around player. Frye on the other hand is probably the Knicks' best pure shooter--- something that Larry Brown seems to have forgotten about. He might get beaten here and there, but his presence on the floor is vital to the Knicks' spacing.

(of course... conversely, we might just be trying to showcase Mo Taylor...)
