Shelden Williams would be a great add. I agree that Frye and Curry might not be the best match. If by the end of this season they're still getting killed on D, they should think about moving one of them.

I still think the biggest hole on the team is a 6'7" SG/SF like Pietrus. I wish we'd drafted him over Sweetney. ah well.

i went back last night and looked at some segments of several games this year and I realize that we are in such deep doo doo. There is NO way we can go forward with this roster if we want to win games. Weere going to have to make a move--perhaps something along the lines of what I suggested TO START re Frye for S Williams, but our problems run much deeper than that. We are stuck with HUGE HUGE HUGE backcourt problems having Craw and Q under contract at big $ long term. The fundamentals on this team is not fixable because its malignant through the unit. There is to much to salvage the body.
its going to take YEARS to right this ship unless a miracle breaks

If the plan is to keep this roster and grow with it, we re in for years of hard times because you cannot win with these types of players.

We need a rather large balancing overhaul.

For those people who think Frye and Curry are the next Shaq Duncan duo, it couldnt be farther from the truth.

I think the bottom line here is we have a gM and a coach who need to be split up and one philosophy implemented. Its never going to work this way, I think LB wants Isiah gone.

You know we can't ever draft another French player...

At the time I was hoping we couldn't draft another undersized PF.

If Shelden Williams is a lottery pick, then this lottery is weak.....

I don't think he'll go higher than 10 but good defensive big men are hard to come by these days.

He's a very good offensive player as well. I think this guy is being under-rated. What else can you ask out of a 4 man prospect? This is a modern day Oakley who can block shots and post up. this guys legs, his base strength is as strong as it gets. You cant move him, thats why hes such a good defender. If you look at the last two major pivots from Duke Brand and Boozer, well people need to get a clue. Duke has Redick Williams and role players.

Briggs most PF's in the league today have a outside game, you keep talking bout not being able to move williams, Please, guys will go around and over his slow azz. or they will just step out and dart him with jumpers. This guy is no Elton Brand, he has no offensive game briggs, not an NBA offensive game.

as far as the bold comment. Duke also has Josh Mcroberts who is one heck of a role player with his talent..

Ya, see the problem, is Isiah's a pud.

That's it in a nutshell.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

josh mcroberts is a role player my man. SW is going to be a heck of a pro player and we could really use him much more than Frye.

were stuck with OUR crp we'll win 26 games this year--if we stay the same we'll win 31 next year and stay in that range. Marbury doesnt have more than 3 years left before he shot. this thing is a disaster area.

I agree.

We need to:
- somehow move bad contracts (Craw, Q, JJ) in a package with Marbury or ending contracts
- get high 1st rd pick this yr and next
- draft Shelden and another defensive player (i like Gansey)
- shed payroll and regain cap flexibility by 07/08
- go after legit franchise player in the summer of 07 (Chris Bosh?)

The only current knick players i want to retain are Lee and Woods (maybe Ariza)
