I don't remember anyone saying they didn't think Qyntel deserved a chance based upon ability. It was his off-the-court behavior that gave some of us pause.

There was a lot of thoughtful discussion before Qyntel was signed about whether he deserved another chance or not, the nature of what he did compared to the inherent cruelty of the entire meat industry in the U.S., dogs as cuisine in China, etc. A lot of good people agreed to disagree.

A lot of us expressed our opinions saying we didn't think the Knicks should sign him. No one that I remember based that opinion upon the fact that he smoked pot. The issue was animal abuse.

It wasn't that big a deal to the majority of UK posters, but a few of us, myself included, took it more seriously and didn't want the Knicks to sign him.

Qyntel has his second chance regardless of the opinions of UK posters pro or con. He's a Knick and he's showing what he can do on the basketball court. Hopefully he'll keep it together off the court.

Averaged 18.1 PPG/4.1 RPG/2.3 APG during teh 2004 Rocky Mtn Summer league.

Woods was on Miami last year, but they decided not to keep him-- does anyone question Pat Riley's judgement of talent?... or was the baggage too much to handle at the time?

The knock on him is that he doesn't think out there on the court--- that he can't run plays--- he merely relies on his out of this world athleticism

sometimes things just click for a person and they see the light. Let's hope the Woods's light statys on for the Knicks.

fishmike - right. There were plenty of non-racial lynch mobs in the Old West right?
