I don't like Ricky davis but he may be as good if not better than wally, but the pick going to boston is a conditinal fist round pick, I just don't know what the conditions are....

Why are the Knicks one of the only team that trades unconditional first round picks with such frequency.

because the knicks didn't usually have young players like ricky DAvis or wally Z to add in a trade so you don't have to give up a unprotected pick..

maybe the Knicks can finally beat the Celtics now. they could never stop Ricky.

thats not the reason at all. Raps were willing to do Crawford + for Carter. Dumbass said Craw was untouchable. Isiah countered with Houston who hadn't played since March.

Its dumbass trade proposals that get our firsts. Isiah dosn't believe all the first round picks
you draft will pan out or stay but he's willing to spend 100's of millions of dollars on "other teams trash" and hold on to them for dear life...

Yet Isiah's primary successes as a GM (with the Raptors and Knicks) have been as a result of his ability to draft well.

KG and Wally fought last year. Why? Because KG said Wally would break plays to hunt down the ball on offense. He's selfish. AND he was playing with one of the greatest basketball players of all time, who is unselfish to a fault. Wally Z is a lot of things, a willing passer he is not. If he wasn't passing to KG, I can't see him giving Al Jefferson many looks.

Ainge did this because Celts fans need a really good white player to cheer for. Yeah, I said it.

Boston is the whitest town on the east coast. Wally's good looks helps marketing and that sells tickets.

Ricky and Paul are two knuckle heads and one had to go. Ricky really been growing up and rounding out his game on and off the court. Pierce is an idiot. Talented.

Rickey and Wally do different things well. Ricky and Pierce seemed a bit redundant to me. Wally is no slasher and is very dangerous on the wing. WIth a no. 1 pick, its not a terrible trade for boston. For Minny, it makes them more athletic.

Wait- wasn't KG involved in an altercation with a rookie who dunked on him in summer league?

Just saying that don't make it out like KG is all innocent in that deal.

But, if you're trading one player, obviously its wally.

Now isn't mchale basically trading in a way for sprewell 2? namely a talented player with a past history of being a trouble maker?

Yeah, and Ricky averages 5.5 assists while Wally averages 2.8.

I think Ricky is a great fit for Garnett and a much better player. It's funny, but I'd compare Ricky to Spree and Wally to Allan Houston. Houston/Wally are the more efficient scorers, but that's really all. Spree/Ricky are athletic, tough defenders, good playmakers and passers and streak scorers.

Maine is the whitest State in the country, and I was there protesting some Nazi's. I don't think Boston is the whitest city, its just the most racist major city in the northeast, perhaps in the entire country.

Like I said Celts aren't in dire need of ball-handling. Pierce and West both can handle it. Wally Z is an infinitely more efficient wing player.

Both teams will benefit. Davis gives them more athleticism on the wings. Wally Z gives Boston a 35 minute sniper.

so what is Danny's plan? Ricky and Pierce are not the problem with the celtics. Last season it was Jiri Welsh. I guess Danny is obsessed with having a white swing man. Didn't he grossly over pay for Brian Scalabrine?
