And another #1. It was a great deal.

That's your opinion, and youre welcome to it.

But I'd go ahead and say adding 15-20 Million plus losing your starting Center for an undersized role player isn't worth the picks.

We could've had Curry for Nazr and Sweets. I'd rather have this years lottery than 2 late 1st rounders.

Well one of those late first rounders just had a game as good as any lottery pick has had this year.

Malik wan't worth anything in the deal. But IMO Nazr wasn't worth much either.

And I'm not sure if anyone knows for sure what we could have had and for whom in the Curry deal.

oh marv...you dumb bastard. are you not even taking into account that if we still had nazr, forget curry, we could've used him in a sign and trade for the big game...just so we could get that EXTRA 6th year.

Not only the extra sixth year...also extra salary. I think you can have a 12.5% (rather than 10%) annual increase in salary if the team with the player's Bird rights signs the player. We can only dream of such scenarios!

Man! That's deep thinking! Is it too early to offer him an extension? Would he just laugh at us?

there are just too many stories out there about vets like Malik and Calbert Chaney and Avery Johnson and the like that are extra coaches on the floor and in the locker room and on the plane and in the weight room and at the dinner table to underestimate their value. Malik is one of those guys. He just is. We see him in the faces and ears of the rooks so often it's not funny. We as fans NEVER see this underside of the NBA belly, but it's out there. I KNOW for a fact that Calbert was in the ear of Richard Jefferson day in and day out making him a better player - Jason has said it himself. Doesn't show up on the floor or in the stat books. How do you put a $$ value on that? A guy like Ariza could fold up shop and call it a career with the benching OR he could listen and watch guys like Malik with their limited skills practice and come in early and get better, and all of a sudden you have another Gilbert Arenas on your hands.

TMS is an idiot. JJ has been a tremendous signing. Who else on the team could provide us with more examples of hilarity. It's all about the intangibles.

in JJ's case, his intangibles consist of the play that you never see, cuz he's never contributing on the court.

sup to all the old crew.

What's up TMS. I'm with you. See that's where guys like Fish are going wrong. They are actually watching James on the court and waiting for good things to happen and what I'm saying is if you want to see good things happen you have to watch JJ around a dinner table. Dominating.

I'm also a big fan of the no-look hooks. Oh and when he fakes a pass out of the double team to get the doubler to retreat. But the doubler doesn't retreat because he knows JJ won't pass the ball. Normally James puts the ball on the floor and the other team steals it. Now you can say it's bad play. But I think that JJ is just handing it to the other team out of respect for not falling for his plan. That's the true meaning of sportsmanship, give to the other man when he outhinks you. You can't teach that stuff

I would kill to hear what Mustafa has to say about JJ, after all he loved Felton Spencer.

Clear as daylight, he's a Ray Allen understudy. All he needs to do is let LB trust him with 1 single 3 pointer, and Jerome is breaking out. And he doesn't need screens set for him. He sets his own screens stampede of wild boars style. It's only a matter of time.

sorry Bonn, but I'm calling bullsh!t on that one. I seem to remember you posting his post season stats with some regularity and talking about how his #'s were low because he wasnt featured in their offense, etc etc and we would get something like 10/8/2 in 25+ minutes.

Pretty much every move Isiah has made you have touted as great and spent 8000 posts explaining your position or pointing out how or why Briggs was wrong on something.

I didnt read everything you said but you whats that about trying 200 times to get me to say I'm wrong? Maybe you misread what I said. I stand by what I said.

RINGING IN JEROME: Jerome James may return to practice today. James, who showed up yesterday to work out, was suspended indefinitely on Monday for not being ready to practice on New Year's Day. According to sources, James celebrated a little too much on New Year's Eve.

Nice fantasy world you live in Fish. I cited JJ's playoff stats but always said I thought he'd be somewhere between his career playoff #s and regular season #s when I cited them. You can call "foul" all you want but it doesn't change the truth. My prediction was obviously wrong but not by the extent you wish it was.

You didn't answer my question: Have you ever been wrong about anything during the Isiah era in your opinion? I could think of many examples but I'm curious if you can admit to any.

actually Bonn, keeping track of who is right or wrong has never been a priority for me. But since it seems like a big stumbling block on your road to serenity why dont you post some of your bookmarked links of things I have said and I will respond if I was wrong or not. Anything to help out a fellow poster :)

I'm not stating opinion.

Paxson actually offered Curry for Nazr and Sweets last year.

Isiah said no.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Are you Paxson? Do you know this fo' sho'? Or is this newspaper stuff. You're never going to know what's going on behind closed doors.
